Why Get Rich Quick is a Scam

Two days ago I wrote how Getting Rich Ain't Easy.

Yesterday I wrote How to Get Rich with HBD.

Today I'm telling you Get Rich Quick is a Scam.

At the same time, I personally know people that have made hundreds of millions of dollars in less than a year.

How can I say all of these things at the same time? Simple. Your economic value is equal to the amount of goods and services you have provided to the market.

This is why Get Rich Quick is a scam. You can make a lot of money in a short period of time, but only if you are providing a lot of value.

Buying this one thing or enrolling in that program doesn't do much. This applies to crypto just like anything else. A coin might pump in the very short term, but if it doesn't actually do anything for the world it'll dump right back to where it was.

We've seen that over and over again. In pump & dump scenarios the holders of the economic value will change, but the overall wealth will not. In those cases you might say the people who got rich(er) quick(er) were the ones who were selling the dream to the dumped on crowd. Amazingly, that can have a value. It's just not a lasting one.

So be smart about what you do with your time and money. Are your actions building something that will be of use or not?
