Hive as an idea of a decentralised social media ecosystem is something that I think will only start to grow as more and more cryptocurrency users and more people want to use it like the 'normal' websites we are used to on a daily basis.

Browser games such as @splinterlands or @dcitygame, token exchange sites such as beeswap and LeoDex and the interfaces PeakD and LeoFinance are just a glimpse of what the Hive network can offer. Looking at post @taskmaster4450 regarding the growth of the cryptocurrency world in relation to the internet got me thinking about why Hive could be as big as Facebook.

Obviously Facebook has been referenced here as a sure metaphor for something very large, in its place you can type in another portal or website. I have used it for illustrative purposes. Wondering why Hive has not yet shot up exponentially in terms of the number of users I will tell you in another upcoming article about the threshold of entry to the Hive platform, which apparently is not so easy after all.

Hive as the vast majority of you probably know is not only about having your own blog and writing comments but also a place to make various investments, exchange tokens, play games or gamble. The space that Hive offers for developers is quite large. We can create our own Hive interface and base our own token on it. We can write a browser game based on NFT and create a community around this game. And if someone is as ambitious as inventive, they can create their own blockchain explorer that would reward users for using it. Really, the ideas are many.

The problem here is this mythical entry threshold. I'll talk about what it is and how to understand it in an upcoming big post I've been working on for a few weeks now, and I base my theses on being in this ecosystem for a few years and on hundreds of questions asked by my friends I've invited to the platform.

Back to the question posed in the topic, Can Hive be as big as Facebook? The answer is yes. The more important question should be when it will happen.

Thank you and until next time, Nervi.

Użyłem go do celów poglądowych.

Dziękuję i do następnego, Nervi.
