I love a good bargain.

Yes, It's a lot of money.

But with the way that splinterlands has gone in the past twelve months I would count these as a bargain.

It's not too long ago that regular foil epic beta cards were more expensive than this. Never mind the alpha ones.

The markets have dropped lately and i want to take full advantage.

I was lucky enough to get a GFL "Lira the dark" in the airdrop but it just gave me a taste for more. When I saw that "Legionnaire Alvar" was for sale at $100 yesterday I had to buy it. The next cheapest neutral legendary was at $800 and this one is now at minimum $160 so it was a steal really.

Then today I picked up the other three for $300 combined.

It's hard not to and they just look so good sitting in my collection. 5 new GFL in the past week is a lot more than i had in the past two years.

I just hope that i don't get a full blown addiction like @jongolson and end up having to sell the house to feed my habit. At the moment it's just like casual smoking.

You only do it when your drinking but never touch them when you are of sound mind and body.

Is it worth the money?

No idea really but it looks impressive.

If the game keeps growing and these assets run out of print then definitely. If the game has peaked and bleeds users then no as the prices will continue to drop until they hit the floor price.

My bet is that they keep growing. Land and crafting excites me and having these rare cards will mean a lot in the future.

Even for gold tournaments it's great to have a powerful deck as the prizes are brilliant.

Gold foil legendaries are still the ultimate goal for collectors with the older the better.

In a few years time i am betting that even these ones will be highly sought after.

Splinterlands is still the number one playtoearn game out there and has been for a long time now.

In an ever growing industry that says a lot in itself.

Today marks a monumental day in the history of #splinterlands, we have officially surpassed 1 billion games played! That's a whole lot of zeros. Next stop 1 trillion! Thanks to everyone joining us on this wild ride. We appreciate you!

Just today,
1 Billion games is a huge milestone. With lots more to follow.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

Cards worth a few cents now will have a much higher value in the future as the print runs out. We have a strong community and seen this happen every time as it grows with the game.
