Hard work doesn't always equate to better money.

In fact it often goes the other way. the people doing the hardest work earn the least money.

Obviously there are different types of work and a person coding for 15 hours in a day is hard to compare with a blocklayer setting 500 blocks in the same time.

But the money flows up and the shit flows down.

Look at the different industries and it follows a similar pattern.

Take a hospital for example. The doctors and nurses are the ones who save peoples lives and are on the frontlines every day dealing with terrible sights. The consultants swan in and create more work. The get paid better for less work. The management get paid better than them with less education. The board of directors make even more for having a stake in the system.

Money go up - Shit flow down.

I think that the trick is to move up the levels in whatever industry you are in. Sure you might start of on the frontlines but there is no reason that you can't learn new things, move upwards and get a stake in the game. In some industries there are certain barriers that make this trickier but with hive the only barriers are personal.

There are no degrees, gatekeepers, governments that can control your outcomes. There are other people who can make it more difficult to move upwards but over time you can pass out most of these with enough hard work, knowledge and time.

Blogging isn't the only way to grow,

I started off writing and still like to write because it's my passion. Not my job.

I made more money on hive this week by trading on the internal market.

By buying the latest splinterlands card and flipping it straight away.

From passive investments on the chain.

I moved up the levels and learned form the people there before me. I put in the work to build a stake that i can now use to earn more money. I spent years on the frontlines grinding out the articles and comments but now it's for fun, not for profit.

I'm hoping to hit 70K HP this week and according to hivestats my writing has earned me,

All Time 14,387.89 HP 7,396.74 HP 21,784.63 HP $8,562.84

That's means that almost 50K has come from my other activities. I might have bought about 10k and the rest is from opportunities in crypto.

Moving up the levels allows me to check out other opportunities and this can lead to even more sources of passive income.

There is a reason that we don't see the biggest stakeholders posting daily. They don't need to. Their stake allows them to take part in a lot more parts of the chain and especially ones which require less manual effort.

It's how you make it to the top as their is a ceiling to how much you can earn through activity. At some point you need to become an investor as well and then you can keep moving upwards.
