That's a fair point. It's very hard to capture such a broad audience on a topic like sports.

Much easier to target a specific section of sports as a community than just sports lovers.

I'm a big gaa and rugby fan but have no interest in hockey or tennis.

Unless the site was properly formatted to sub divide into communities in a way that worked. Either that or keep it focused on one section and if that was successful launch mirrored sites over time.
