It's that Hive Legend again @traciyork who comes up with some wickedawesomesauceness challenges for us to get involved with on our favourite blogging site with #hiveblopomo. This stands for Hive Blog Posting Month but the challenge is pretty straightforward - post every day for the month of November to the Hive Blog-chain from whatever interface you want.

I think there's also an event in March or April that Traci holds too but I thought I'd piggyback to her posting challenge after posting every day in October to continue the momentum. I was planning a break in November but I guess I'm a sucker for helping my friends out where I can.

My website has actually been down for a couple of weeks now and so to be able to continue with blogging via LeoFinance and PeakD has been pretty handy!

Account Growth

One of my aims was to get to Leo Orca before the end of the year and I don't mind blogging as a means to get there so actually, the challenge came at the right time to help me get over the line and well on the way to that 1,000 LP target!

From my last month's Power Up Day post, I was sitting on 424 LP and am now on 903 LP. Granted, some of that was bought or given via @leo.voter HIVE delegations but checking out HiveStats, the last 30 days of posting have brought me 275 LEO and 568 HIVE which works out to $67.50 which is all staked and used to grow even more.

It's actually kinda cool to look back on the above screenshot to see how much HIVE you can earn vs what I bought earlier in the month when HIVE price reached rock bottom of about 6p per HIVE. I bought 1,000 or so but actually, I was over half way there to earning it myself through the posting challenge - one of those "ha!" moments.

But still, if you want to power up your account, the quickest way is to buy it (not financial advice)! With December's Power Up Day coming tomorrow, I'll be looking forward to adding to the stake on both HIVE and LEO as an early Xmas present!

Learning Experiences of HiveBloPoMo

Have to say, it's been pretty tough to post every day along with other extra curricular activities I do and I'll be taking a much needed break, reducing my posting frequency as personal circumstances dictate play. From this coming weekend, my posting frequency will be much less. I'd say it's best to have some templates or an ideas board that you can refer to so you have topics ready to "brain fart" content out, or schedule posts if you find yourself on a roll.

Otherwise, it has been a pretty fun creative challenge and glad I got involved. Some posts went supernova and ended up with a "highest rewarded post of the day" badge from @hivebuzz which is incredible! Some posts got my highest levels of engagement on LeoFinance, which is growing week on week and there's a positive vibe in the air - it's contagious and found myself ranking in the engagement league a couple of weeks naturally... not bad for a part timer!

So I'd say definitely get involved with the challenge when it next comes around in March/April and follow @traciyork as she does some really cool initiatives, all intended to help grow your account in many ways, whether finding new followers or increasing staking via power up day!

Who got involved with #hiveblopomo this month then? How have you found it? Will you carry on posting every day or have a break? Let me know in the comments below!

Take care and rest those typing fingers!

Nicky

P.S. massive thanks to @traciyork for the HiveBloPoMo initiative and all the work she puts in on HIVE!
