Another BTC Bonus From Celsius - Merry Sat-mas!

St Nicky Havey here bringing you some news about an email I just received from one of my favourite crypto earning apps - Celsius! I'm always looking to add to my satoshi collection and thankfully, Celsius is on hand to provide some much needed Christmas cheer! Hurrah!
I liken Celsius to a crypto savings account. You send your coins to the relevant wallet in Celsius and you earn interest on it - I have some BTC, ETH, CEL and TGBP (stable coin for the £) sitting in there collecting interest payments every week ranging from 4.5% on BTC to about 12.6% for TGBP! I literally can't see the point in keeping a high street bank savings account with a tear-jerking 0.01% interest unless you love watching your purchasing power get eroded away in the UK.
Obviously, Celsius comes with the caveat of not your keys, not your crypto but I'll leave the link to their website here and you can read up about them. The CEO/Founder Alex Mashinsky has had experience with developing multi-billion dollar businesses and Celsius is already holding over $3.31 billion worth of assets according to their AMA update video from the end of November - check this video around the 7 minute mark - which is incredible seeing as I think I mentioned they were already at $2.2 billion only in October! Details On The Promotion
Celsius will give you $25 of BTC if you deposit at least $500 of any crypto into your Celsius wallet as long as you just hold it for 30 days, which is the point of it - here's a screen grab from their email below of how it works:
You go to your profile in the app, select "Promo code", type "SANTA", confirm and then deposit your crypto!
I got involved with one of their promos last month with their DNS issue and got that bonus paid in the other day, which earned me some interest already, pretty pleased with that!
Earning In CEL
CEL is Celsius' "utility" token where, if you hold more of it, your interest rates increase with their different tiers from Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. You can choose to earn your interest in CEL tokens, which will then contribute to your holdings and then you can move up through the tiers to earn more interest, which is pretty cool!
If you just wanted to earn "in kind" (i.e. in the crypto you want rather than CEL) then you can of course do that and the interest rates are still pretty good but they do increase when you earn in CEL, depending on which tier you're in.
After this promo, I am going to have to buy more CEL now haha! And there you have demand for the token - ah that Alex is a smart cat!
