Update On Leo Power Needed Per "Rank"
Setting Goals
I don't know about you but I find setting goals helps to keep myself motivated to achieve something and have something to focus on. Otherwise, I'd just drift along aimlessly and that's not really something I feel comfortable with unless I've actually set aside "downtime" like I have done for a couple of weeks this month to recharge.
With crypto, it's the same approach and on HIVE, there have been certain "ranks" you can get to depending on how much HIVE you have staked or "powered up". These are minnow, dolphin, orca and whale, of which "whale" is probably the one most of us are familiar with in the broader crypto world as these folks can make big movements with price due to having pockets deeper than the Mariana Trench!
Leo
In any case, us smaller fish or cats, can set ourselves targets that are more achievable with our current situation. As with all tokens and coins across the crypto industry, it is possible to use those @hivebuzz rankings and calculate how much you need to hold in order to achieve your goals.
The caveat is that the amounts required to achieve a rank change daily unless it's a fixed cap like Bitcoin's 21 million so you'll likely need to recalculate at a later date but as we're probably all interested in HIVE and LEO, here's the latest amounts required, using calculations I shared with you back in October:

With Ikran being the mountain banshee and Toruk the "winged king lion" both from Avatar. I guess these names of the Leo ranks will stay for the time being or have already been decided? I'm cool with that! This means I'm still a Puma although I'll be constantly looking over my shoulder now as it was only 2 months ago the target for Puma was 784!
The reason I'm bringing this up again is @chekohler commented recently saying it went up to 950 for Puma and 9,500 for Lion (factor it up by 10 to get to the next level) and I ended up mentioning to @onealfa.leo on his Toruk Was Here post that I thought it may have been 950,000 LP a couple of weeks ago. Sorry mate, didn't mean to scare you like that haha! Althought it isn't far off now...
My goal is to get to 1,500 LP by the end of January 2021. Hoping with the kick backs from LBI coming in the next couple of weeks and the curation rewards are slightly better now I'm at about 1,100 LP, I'll keep chipping away at that. I also try to buy LEO whenever I remember seeing as it all helps.
Hive
I had that Orca badge arrive a month or two ago and feel like I've reached my goals with owning Hive stake (I honestly feel whale is too far out of reach) but let's have a look at the HP needed as well as of today - 26th December 2020:

HP is a little easier to work out as it literally tells you on Hive Block Explorer - go to that link and scroll down to "Hive per MVests" and it will say how much you need to be a minnow. Divide by 10 to get the redfish amount, multiply by 10 to dolphin, 100 for Orca, 1,000 for Whale and that's it!
Bitcoin
Yeah alright then, let's look at the granddaddy whilst we're here. This will not change by the way as the supply is capped at 21 million (although current supply is still only 18.6 million BTC at the moment, I've put the amount required at current circulation in brackets below):

So next time you see institutions buying up BTC in droves, you can work out if they're going to be a whale (chances are, they will be to be fair). I'd personally love to get to BTC redfish myself!
