Living one day a week with cryptocurrencies.
Being so enthusiastic about cryptocurrencies I decided to dedicate at least one day a week to progressively disassociate myself from fiat money (both local currency and US dollar), to face at least 50% of the purchases or payments I plan to make that chosen day with digital currencies. Unlike other years, nowadays it is more feasible to generate payments or collections with this type of currencies, so it is nothing new for me to pay for various goods or services with cryptos.
I consider the idea as a continuation of my philosophy adopted some years ago to separate myself from cash, starting one day a week, then two, three, a whole week, a month and now I do not remember the last time I touched a bill, regardless of whether it is local or foreign currency, I assumed my economic life digitally. gradually I stopped visiting banks (at least physically), ATMs, my wallet no longer has the presence of colored paper and my mind was freed from the stress of living thinking about where to find cash.
Of course, I must admit that cash offers the advantage of anonymity and speed, but this payment method has become almost prehistoric and its disadvantages outweigh its benefits. So, the arrival of cryptocurrencies poses a new paradigm that replaces the disadvantages of cash while maintaining anonymity in transactions, a new reality that generates comfort and security in my financial life.
Many people tell me why adopt cryptocurrencies, do you have something to hide? No, I have nothing to hide but I totally distrust my government and any national or foreign central power, so if I can make their surveillance of my private life more difficult, at least financially, I have no hesitation in assuming this minimal advantage that technology offers us digitally encrypting and decentralized our economic income.
Also since I joined Hive and this divine global movement to monetize our thoughts, this process of transferring to a decentralized economy has become easier to perform as it is no longer necessary to use fiat money to change it to crypto, I only use my profits in Hive, LEO, POB and other tokens of the ecosystem to transform them into digital currencies more accepted in my country: Bitcoin, Dash and Litecoin, this way, I can reaizar payments in cryptos from my wallet without the intermediation of my government's currency or any other.
Fortunately, in the country where I live, the commercial sector is progressively adopting cryptocurrency trading, being Dash the crypto that has offered more support to small and medium entrepreneurs for the use of their digital currency. It is now so easy to generate payments through Dash that even through a text message (SMS) from any cell phone you can make a transaction with this crypto.
On the other hand, the Panamanian company Criptobuyer offers technical services to facilitate payments with cryptocurrencies to many businesses in my country and the rest of Latin America, so it becomes more feasible to use BTC, altcoins or the stablecoin of your choice to purchase goods such as food, drinks, clothing or footwear to payments for services such as internet or satellite television, as you can see everything is now possible with cryptocurrencies.
I am sure that someday I will pay directly my purchases with Hive since this community is becoming more and more consolidated and its crypto generates a lot of interest in my country and the world. On the other hand, I think that this aspect, the commercial one, our beloved Hive can make strong inroads in the world, as it has an extensive community, the experience and also the knowledge to someday apply forms of payments with its crypto and possibly with the tokens that make life in its ecosystem. A nice future awaits us.
