Certainly blockchain technology has brought to the world a new perspective that allows to open many doors in those aspects of society that perhaps in other times were arranged for the total dominance of the centralized sector, building bridges that make possible the process of creating projects rewarded in tokens or cryptocurrencies that pose a counterweight to the power of fiat currencies. One of these aspects is reflected in the content monetization, a concept that goes beyond the simple content creation and focuses on the massification of creators, the rewards they receive for their publications and the degree of commitment that users contribute to the community, thus creating a decentralized ecosystem that allows generating economic income in a consistent manner.

Thus, for example, in the social network Hive Blog, the maximum paradigm of the concept of content monetization on the web, we can observe expressions of people who admit to using this site not only as a means to obtain extra income but also as their only way to generate money. Among this varied group of users I was able to observe a small sector made up of students from all aspects of education: primary, secondary and university, integrated to this social network as a channel to obtain income that allows them to continue their academic training.

I remember that my student trajectory from elementary school to graduate school was always a constant process of accumulation of fiat money to pay the monthly fees or credits required to pass each academic level, a circumstance that from the social aspect generates a lot of family pressure as parents seek the necessary funds to pay for the education of their children, scrambling in the budget that money that allows not only to pay the tuition or credits but also to acquire books and study materials, as can be seen is a process that contains a total dependence on the centralized system, either public or private.

Although public education generates a relative relief in the family budget burden, it is not exempt from budgetary problems, since in order to maintain the infrastructure and salaries that support education, the State must establish taxes that end up being paid by the entire population, that is to say, the money that the family saves in terms of educational expenses is evaporated in the obligation to contribute to the treasury. On the other hand, scholarship policies in both the private and public sectors benefit low-income students, but it is so limited that it only favors one individual per million, that is, it is not common.

Thinking about this reality, it is normal that some young people join the ranks of content monetization as this allows them to generate income that will then somehow be redirected directly or indirectly to their own academic training. On the other hand, I have not found references about the teaching staff, however, it would be interesting to know if this group also benefits from content monetization, but given the economic limitations affecting the world, education is one of the most affected, so I would not doubt that many educators use these means in order to achieve economic benefits.

Given this fact, it seems to me that the logical step that the education sector will take is towards forms of participation through the tokenization of this aspect of society, since this form of participation offers an alternative to both students and teachers from a decentralized point of view, and society itself contributes to the task of supporting training and even research processes through its participation in the strengthening of this token. I would not like to give the responsibility for this fact to Hive, LEO or POB, as the proposal of both the social network and the tokens is not designed for these specific cases, however it is a fact that they have served as an impetus for the integration of the student factor in the world of cryptocurrencies through the monetization of content.
