I always comment that all of us inevitably have two lives: the one we assume in the real world and the one we face in the virtual one, there in that infinite universe behind our computers or smarts phones. But today's Internet is far from what it is today, starting when access to navigation was extremely slow and basically unidirectional, that is to say, when entering a web page the only thing the user could do was to see information or observe an image, that is what is called 'Web 1.0'.

With the dawn of the XXI Century, the internet has become more massive, it has transcended from computers and a fixed wired connection (ethernet) to our cell phones that later became 'Smarts Phones', which has facilitated the participation of people in the process of transformation of the web to more bidirectional spaces, where the user besides observing also participates in the web contributing his opinion or ideas in the form of blogs, micoblogs, images, videos and stop counting, all this driven by the arrival and consolidation of the power of social networks, spaces that bring together 90% of the activities on the internet and this is what is called web 2. 0.

The main characteristic of web 2.0 is that it is highly dominated by centralized interests, whether corporate or institutional, which among other things live by taking all kinds of information that we ourselves provide them, so that they can use it against us by selling or transferring our personal or more intimate data to the government of the day or any entity that feeds on the power we give them every time we appear cute in a selfie, do stupid things on TikTok or write anything on Twitter.

They make a lot of money and power by storing and making use of our data, now they also have the power to censor registered members on their website, like Facebook and Twitter with former US President Donald Trump, which makes us wonder, if they are able to do that with one of the most powerful men in the world, then ask yourself: what will they be able to do with you? Fortunately with the advent of Bitcoin, blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies the concept of the internet presents another more democratic perspective embodied in the new web 3.0.

The web 3.0 is the one where the user assumes the protagonism of what is shared and generated on the internet, taking advantage also at an economic level of their individual work without fear of the application of censorship on the web. On the other hand, creative freedom and freedom of opinion is a key point (or rather a point of honor) in these spaces on the web, since the more the dignity of human beings is protected in social networks and their social and economic autonomy, the more attractive they will be to public opinion.

It is important that Web 3.0 is not an alternative but the real evolution of the web, forcing centralized spaces such as Google, Facebook or Instagram to adapt to the new independent and tokenized proposals offered by this new orientation on the web, otherwise they will only have as their destiny the memory of how powerful they once were when the internet was dominated by web 2.0.
