WHY CRYPTOCURRENCY?
I saw an advert on Instagram recently which offered individuals the opportunity to learn about digital currencies and earn over 25% ROI monthly, which i find laughable. Unfortunately, many people get into these sort of scams. I was having a discussion the other day with an older friend who spoke about his friend losing roughly around $10,000 to crypto fraud. It all seemed legit in the beginning, invest little, gain much. You know how the story goes, they get greedy and want to play the market and boom! The inevitably happens: they lose all their money or the person trading with their crypto falls short of the actual capital invested and decides to go MIA because of his inability to keep to his own side of the bargain. These things happen in speculative markets, so i am often shocked when people offer certainty in such a volatile market as crypto. It is one of the leading cause of the seemingly bad reputation crypto has. Many still consider it to be a Ponzi, which is laughable when you consider how the traditional financial system works. I saw a tweet earlier today which stated that about 22% of the US Dollar was printed in 2020 alone. What greater Ponzi is there? Talking about internet magic money, what would you say about the dollar?

Many never get to this point because of greed and the prospect of making massive gains within a twinkle of an eye. Honestly, I don't feel sorry for such persons. It only makes common sense to do due diligence before investing in a speculative market and not cry when things go south.
IT IS MORE THAN JUST THE MONEY
It would be hypocritical to say money doesn't matter to me and i am solely here to build. A lot of my activities here are incentified. Instead, i am fascinated by the way wealth is distributed across different parts of the world with little or no cost (well that depends on the blockchain you use). This has created a lot of opportunities for individuals, including myself.
This space has the potential of changing the world positively by empowering people across the globe and taking power from centralised bodies. I would like to see my favourite mobile game (Call of Duty) on a blockchain. The gaming industry is one of many industries that will benefit massively from blockchain technology and digital currencies and i can't wait to see that happen.
WHY CRYPTOCURRENCY?
It is the future. I strongly believe this. The industry is still in its infancy and might be infested with a lot of get-rich-quick schemes but that will change soon and when it HAPPENS those projects with actual value will rise to the top.
