News just in is that Elon Musk has suspended Bitcoin payments for tesla because of the environmental cost of mining. This has sent bitcoin 5%+ lower.

The strange thing is that all the other crypto.have followed it down, despite not all of them having proof of work.
Crypto like Hive and other Dpos have a much much lower environmental footprint Hopefully the crypto world can sit up and take notice and work on a more efficient way of governing their coins.
Be interesting to see how this develops.
