I get it. One of the eyes on this piece is bigger than the other one. But I intentionally made it like that.

When I started making crafting tutorials, I thought that I would be confined with just the " technical" side of things. But things are rapidly changing in our world and I do not want to miss this opportunity to say this.

Growing up, I've witnessed a lot of people being bullied because of their physical traits. They probably are limp, cross eyed or are too poor to afford anything. Some of the kids I went with in school even stopped going to school because of the bullying and teasing. To honor them, I decided to create this piece.

I started by selecting my colors.

Flatten the green one.

Start with the body. I chose to insert a wire to reinforce the body and the head.

Next, create the legs/ feet.

Connect the legs to the body. Do not worry how it is positioned as long as its near the main body. Everything will be covered by a "dress" so any mistakes can be rectified.

start making the dress.I started making the dress from the bottom going to the top. Whenever clay sculpture is involved be mindful of GRAVITY. Never make the top piece and live to redo/ abandon a piece because the bottom part is just too weak to support the top part.

As you observed with the legs, even when I know that the dress will cover most of the shoes/ leg area, I tried my best to give as much detail as possible. It would make your piece look more "natural" rather than using the dress to hide some of the details/ mistakes.

The arms were added and, a sleeve and collar in the end to finish the top part of the dress.

Finally the head and the flower to finish the piece. I did add a bit of a grass detail to finish up the piece.
