Hive would have enormous benefits of having a decentralized attention-based marketplace that could easily relate to decentralized finance. The vision should be quite straightforward. Allow content creators to earn additional Hive/HBD from the companies that want to expose/promote themselves and are willing to pay for it. Given that we already are a social platform, it would be a perfect fit.

There would be a common playground in which the companies bid for attention. The author has the right to accept the highest bid and to choose what's going to pop up on his/her profile.

Introduce small fees that either go to Hive-ETH liquidity pool on uniswap, or DHF (which I think is not necessary). We can go a bit further and help to accelerate the SiP introduced by the @threespeak (Perma Liq). It doesn't matter, the point is to distribute earning that benefit the whole system.

This way we would increase the demand and add an additional sink for the positive price movement. And while I'm not technical enough to be 100% positive this is possible, It may serve as a good idea to someone who actually has the skills.

One valid argument would be that the subjective perception of content is at this point trivial, the market gets to decide what's a more valuable and lucrative deal. To put it into perspective, if someone earns more with a single tweet than those who write an article, there's nothing wrong with the system, it's simply the way the market works. You can't blame the system for not following the trend.

In fact, it doesn't matter what kind of content there is, the only thing that matters is how much impressions/openings the article had.

Of course, there's a lot of attack vectors to consider. For instance, all the views could be controlled by a single person with multiple accounts. On the other hand, the companies that are actually paying can easily determine which account is legit and which isn't, and even if they're wrong, it's their money.

I haven't really thought this all the way through, but I think it would be a great addition to the system and would have a positive impact on the overall UX. The more ways to earn, the better.
