General Utility

As majority is well aware off, crpto industry in general is yet to be recognized. Its true potential has to be backed by a real life tools and services that will have fundamentals in order to satisfy the needs of developers and provide use case for general Masses.

More and more platforms are trying to find their spot under the Stars, and yet most of them are lacking real life solutions. It's a fact that can't be neglected. Competition is growing each day, projects are starting to realize that they have to provide something that will be better and more reliable solution in regards to other options out there, otherwise it makes no sense for one business owner to switch on untraditional technology. Here's were STEEM fits in.

Most of the projects out there are nothing more than a pure speculative based "inventions" that have no real life solution. It's kinda sad to see such projects prosper better than steem but I've learned that the value has almost zero correlation with a price.

For instance, looking at Tron community - Few thousand beggars waiting for price to increase without even knowing what consensus mechanism their "favorite" blockchain is using haha.
Enough of this shit, let's dive in on what steem actually has to offer and why it matters.

SMTs

Most of people consider this to be a major breakthrough that has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact and operate on grand scale. Although it should have been done a year ago, steemit obviously prioritized other blockchain features in order to reduce costs of running a full nodes, and i think it was legit decision to make.

Now, when everything is set to match the needs of SMTs i have strong faith they'll manage to deliver.

With the release of SMTs and Steem Communities (think "decentralized subreddits"), 2019 is shaping up to be the year that the Steem blockchain matures from a decentralized content platform, into a full-fledged blockchain protocol capable of powering applications that are impossible to run on so-called "smart contract" platforms.

Considering that most, if not all the blockchains out there are smart contract based protocols, this earn us a fucking huge advantage over others, making steem one of the most advanced protocols out there.

When SMTs launch they will be the world's most advanced turnkey solution for tokenizing web applications. Just to clarify what turnkey is and why it matters.

A Turnkey, a turnkey project, or a turnkey operation (also spelled turn-key) is a type of project that is constructed so that it can be sold to any buyer as a completed product. This is contrasted with build to order, where the constructor builds an item to the buyer's exact specifications, or when an incomplete product is sold with the assumption that the buyer would complete it.

Makes more sense now?

To be completely honest i haven't expected it to be such a huge thing.

Communities

Communities are the next big thing that will make this place a lot easier to manage. Basically everyone will be given an ability to organize themselves in a way they find it acceptable, thus set a core values specific community needs to follow.

The better set of rules and the better organization, the more people will be attracted to it. It will enable curators to find a community they consider the most valuable one without a need to search 5 days to find decent content.

STEEM is facing a huge problem when talking about content discovery, therefore i believe this upgrade will make it more accessible for curators to find the best authors that fits their intellectual needs.

My goal with Hivemind (or “Hive”) was to create the infrastructure which would empower everyone to contribute more effectively to Steem. Steem accomplished a great deal with very primitive tools, but it needed a major upgrade which it got with the release of Hivemind. Hive core gives developers a flexible layer which allows them to create more powerful tools and interfaces, only one of which will be Communities.

Well, if this ain't enough for you to stay hyped I truly don't know what is. After all the shit we've been through community keeps on delivering and that's the most important thing for investors to look at. Maybe we won't gain the momentum right away but in a year or so trust me, things will be different.

Keep it up!
