Investing in EXODE!

Hi Hivians!

Been exploring the EXODE game lately and find it very interesting. It has a new “touch” to the gaming environment that I have never seen before! All though it is still in a test environment I get the feeling of traveling through the universe with one goal for my eye; to settle on a planet and start building a colony for myself and my crew!

However, this is not a post explaining the game in more details. I will do that in future posts as I grow my knowledge around this outstanding and very interesting game. I bet this game will be on everyone’s lips or should I say fingertips, in the coming year! This post will be more of an “how to get the most assets out of the game before you start”.

So, yes, I have invested. Look at Splinterlands! A couple of hundred dollars invested back in 2018 would made you a fortune by today. Is not that true @jongolson? 😉

Anyways, I will give you a quick overview of what you might possess if you invest today.

GETTING STARTED

You head over to EXODE Space Colonization Program here: https://exodegame.com/index_ready.html?ref=4bb6e70. Then you will be met by the overview below. The first thing you want to click on is “Get packs”. After selecting packs, you will be able to write in which account you want the cards to be sent to.

When the next page populates you can choose to buy one of the EXODE starters. You need to buy one of them to be able to play the game. Just like you needed the Spellbook in Splinterlands to play, trade and stake.

A great tip though, is to click on the arrow you see in the picture below (next step). Then you get to buy all three EXODE starter with a $10 dollar discount!

On the next page you can see that you get all three of them for $20 dollars. Would recommend that if you want as much as possible for the least amount of money!

If you make another click you get into the booster’s packs! And if you look carefully, you can see that they cost $3 a pack. A pack consist of five cards and the pack has the possibility to drop legendary, epic, rare and common cards. If you take an even closer look, you can also see that the sale ends tomorrow (7th of September 2021) and who knows what they are going to cost after? Start getting those cheap boosters ya’ll! 😉

The discounts does not stop there. You can get boosters even cheaper. That is, 20% cheaper and you will also get the Elite VIP status that I did. You “just” need to buy at least 400 boosters and it will grant you the Elite VIP status and a 20% discount is added to your order! Just have a look in the below picture:

After you buy EXODE starters and boosters the cards will be added to your wallet and become your NFTs or should I say assets with real value.

How does my investment look like?

As you can see from the below statistics a booster to me costs $2.45 which is absolutely a robbery compared to the value it might become in the future. When you buy the most, you get the best discounts, always keep that in mind when it comes to buying assets. The whales always get the best deals. Why? Because they can provide you with a lot of money, and that you will appreciate.

In total I have bought 521 boosters which cost me approx. $1366! Ye, I did one mistake, or did I? I bought the 121 first to see what cards I could get out of it, and I was so overwhelmed by the loot that I just NEEDED to buy “some” more boosters. When I open my 400 boosters, I will have 2605 cards (I will not open them before Tuesday)😉

So below is a picture of what I invested and what market value it turned out to be after I opened 121 boosters. The 121 boosters did cost $386.16 but in return the market value (in time of writing - it fluctuates) is $1039.78. There you have a ROI (Return on Investment) of approx. 269% already. What will the FV (Future Value) be in 10 years?

Still, I got 400 boosters left to open. If you do the math, you will understand that if I get approx. the same “luck” with the next 400 booster packs, I will have a value of $4471 ($1039,78 + ($1039,78 x 3,3)). However, in time of writing a $1366 investment has a store value of $2019.78 which is still awesome!!! We will see what it will be worth when all boosters are open. I might just tell you.
