I think you will need this.

There are ways to structure your posts such that it communicates the ideas clearly, leaving readers wanting more. In Hive sense, it means offering something valuable such that readers will curate it favourably. Now that Hive price pumped, it is indeed time to earn more Hive by writing more. But first, we probably need to look into mastering our writing craft.

Tip 1: Keep the first paragraph simple, with just one sentence.

This is what some calls the 'hook'. Apparently, single sentence paragraph provides focus, and if done well would leave the reader wanting to read on. So something reasonably eye-catching like "I think you will need this" hopefully resulted in you reading up to this point. You should read on as I have 3 tips to share. Two more to go.

Tip 2: Let it be known how many good points there are.

The second tip is to structure your post in terms of the number of main points it offers. It seems to entice readers to want to read on when they know you have exact and distinctive points to offer. It is also easier for them to extract the points for practical usage later. First paragraphs that arouse readers’ self-interest (how did he do that?)

Tip 3: The post must offer something valuable to readers.

The last and most important tip is to write with the intention to serve your reader. For example, readers may find value in issues that are current in the mainstream now (e.g., the current hype on metaverse). Others may be attracted by the practical solution you offer. Or simply contents that entertains by arousing their curiosity.

Writing and reading are integral aspects of human communication. Some would say, put it in writing, otherwise it does not count. So feelers are up when people read important stuffs. If they deem it important enough to click it to read it, be sure it is worth their time. When writing is done well, those great ideas communicated can change readers' life positively.

These ideas are adapted from a recent post by David Ferrers on Medium (man, he should come to Hive, if he hasn't!). I encourage you to read it. I am just using his tips for practice as I write this.

Hopefully, these tips are of value to you as you try to write more on Hive.
