Yesterday I read my original post with BAD LUCK prize (BLP) anouncement, and at the very end I noticed a paragraph, which hit me like a lightning shock. This:

In case if there will be more than one such "UNLUCKY" guy, priority will be given to the one, who has powered-up more LEO in theses 3 LPUD events. (combined)

Three month is a very LONG period in crypto, and I must completelly forgoten, what I wrote 3 month ago. But it is clear now, how I ment (back then) to reward the absolute bigest LPUD staker.

This week, when @anomadsoul approached me on discord, offering to help picking up the BAD-LUCK winner, I agreed without too much doubt. He got all the data already collected, for all 3 month, and completing him this task seemed as a very logical and easy way. Obviuosly, he overlooked the original BLP post too, and did everything in the same way as for other LPUD prize winners - by a radom draw. That is how @emeka4 came as a winner.

Here I met a big dilema: what shal I do? Sure I can not go and spoil the joy of winning to @emeka4, removing his delegation At the same time, if some big stakers remember the original BLP rules, this "random outcome" can bring a very sad, disapointing feelings.

So I decided to go for a compromise

I have made one more 3-week 60000 LEO delegation to the TOP staker, as stated in my original post

The bigest three month staker was @l337m45732 . He was not only leading the big crew of LPUD stakers, but leading with a solid margin

I must admit, that back in June, when thinking about this BAD-LUCK prize, I was expecting there may be 4 or 5 participants at most, who will fully qualify. The reality is much different - 56 LPUD participants qualify for a BPL.

56 !

And the diferentiation in numbers of LEO staked - is tremendous. The leader @l337m45732 has staked alone 11929 LEO, while the bottom 19 stakers all together collected only 11554 LEO

This brought me to new idea, that RANDOM draw is in fact a much better way to determine the winner. Otherwise the majority of those who are very consistent, disciplined, loyal - have almost no chance. Random draw would give a more fair chance to everyone.

So here are my UPDATE moments:

  • For next two BPL winners (SEPT and OCT) again the RANDOM draw principle wil be used, between all who fully qualify

  • I feel the reduction (from 200 to 150 LEO per month) was not a good idea. So to qualify for BPL, in 3 consecutive months you should have a sum of minimum 600 LEO powered-up

  • No power-down in actual period

  • Your maximum owned staked LEO, in the actual period - shall not exceed 20000 LEO (whale protection)

  • You must stay properly involved in LPUD minded posting (once a month as minimum), as it was before.

Second BLP prize draw will cover July 15, Aug 15, Sept 15 LPUD's.
Say your loud "I do not give up !" to your bad Fortuna.
