When I first joined Hive, I made my introduction post and under the comment section, i was shown so much love and I was given some advise too, which has helped me so far in my hive journey.

The two most important advice I got was:

  • I should always source my pictures even it is a screenshot from my phone.
  • I should always source anything like definition or quote I get from another source that is not mine to avoid plagiarism.

HOW TO PROPERLY SOURCE PICTURES I will be sharing three different ways on how to source your pictures properly to avoid plagiarism, I learnt this methods from this three amazing people @jamerussell, @thekittygirl & @readthisplease.

Where I get my pictures:

  1. Pexels
  2. Pixabay
  3. Unsplash
  4. Lifeofpix

When you go to your browse, you open any of the site that I have listed above, you search for the picture you want to use click on it, after the picture has loaded you click and hold it, a menu option will pop up then click on "Copy image" then paste on the Hive frontend you're using to post your article.

*First format After you Copy image when you paste it, it will show this way:

When you scroll down to the preview section you will see this:

*Second format After you Copy image when you paste it, it will show this way: Source

When you scroll down to the preview section you will see this:

The first and second format preview is the same the only difference is the format of sourcing the picture.

*Third format After you Copy image when you paste it, copy the photographers name and also the site you got the picture, this number is my personal favorite of them all.

When you scroll down to the preview section you will see this:

ALL FORMATS
