Hi guys and welcome to another beautiful Friday morning, the weather is looking just right not too sunny and also not too windy, one might be tempted to call it the perfect date but well, nothing is truly perfect.

The past couple of days has been really tiring to crypto traders and project owners alike, this came as a result of BTC taking a hard dive down which in turn made altcoins to follow suite, bringing price to a new low after weeks of steady and gradual green days, but again we can't continue to stay down but rather look into the brighter side and one of such moment is PlatON Grant Hackathon.

On july 21st 2021, PlatON announced a worldwide Hackathon that would stay active from July 21st to September and a prize pool of $170k was made available, this would be shared based on different criteria that includes judges and down to community vote, yes the community actually has a say regarding prize distribution making this event worth it all the more.

Over the past couple of weeks we have seen different users come up with ground breaking ideas and development on ways to utilize the PlatON network, ways which only could be possible and thought of via a community of like minded individuals.

What is PlatON?

PlatON was initiated and promoted by the LatticeX Foundation. Based on the basic properties of the blockchain and supported by a privacy-preserving computing network, PlatON provides the next-generation Internet basic protocol featuring “computing interoperability”.

Who can apply?

Literally anyone who is willing to build on PlatON/Alaya over the course of the Hackathon, no location restriction or limitations as this is done via the internet.

How to Apply/Join the Hackathon?

First would be joining a dedicated Telegram channel specifically created to assist all new and existing users

All updates regarding the Hackathon will be communicated here

Applicants can submit their projects through hackerlink.io. Meanwhile, to prevent the participation of fake projects, please contact Hackerlink Helper on Telegram @hackerlinkofficial to verify the authenticity of your project.

During the Hackathon, we will conduct multiple rounds of project demos, so that the projects will get more attention in the morning, increase project exposure, and attract more votes and funding opportunities.

After the Hackathon, PlatON will work with the panel of judges to select the top projects for seed round investment based on the rubrics and completion.

Apart from a prize pool of $170k, PlatON also made available supports that would assist users over the course of the Hackathon, readily available when the need arise and easily reachable so as to ensure all users have a smooth and easy working space.

Tech Workshop, mentors from PlatON/Alaya will host several live workshops to help you get started with PlatON/Alaya development.

An addition, this will also serve as an advertising session to show investors of what you intend to do and create an avenue to get sponsors.
