In determining the value of a company, the amount of revenue generated by the company, stock price and market capitalization and the perception of the public about the company. In the rank of companies which have been very valuable, we have Apple, Amazon, Tesla Google, Microsoft, Visa, Facebook, Starbucks, Alibaba, Tencent McDonald's, Mastercard, AT&T , Verizon, and many more.

A lot of people especially in Africa do not know what Tencent is all about. They do not understand what the company is all about. On Twitter, as at the time of writing, the company has about 23.5k followers on Twitter compared to companies like Microsoft with 9.2M folowers, Google with 22.6M followers, and Visa with 382k followers. The company has products which is all king across Asia especially in China. In China, there are three internet giants, Biadu, Tencent, and Alibaba.

Tencent started with QQ, and got a lot of userbase, after which the company started building other products includding WeChat. As the company created other products, they move their users from their previous product to the new one making its userbase become larger or equal to its previous one until it became a complete monopoly in the Chinese and Asian market.

With WeChat, users can chat, make payments for goods and services, Pay for rent, parking, and many more things. An average user as a result of the fundamentals of the app will spend an average of 4 hours daily on the app. Tencent doesn't rely only on its business as it has invested in other companies outside China such as Tesla, snapchat, Epic Games and many more.

Tencent is actually a large company in China but I doubt if the company is big to speak against the government regulation as the government shutting down Ants group IPO over Jack Ma's Statement proves it.
