Corruption is a Cancer that eat deeps into the worlds' finance, eating about $3 trillion yearly. Africa is one of the continents with the highest rate of corruption with tentacles ranging from fraud, laundering, looting government funds, election disruption and malpractice, bribery and many more. Most of the people who exhibit this corrupt nature are mostly people who hold political positions and public seats, they are blinded by greed and the aim of building a good life of luxury at the expense of the citizens normal life. Corruption and Morals are worst enemies when an economy is filled with corrupt leaders and civil servants both public and private.

Corruption in the economy of Africa goes from the head of states or presidents down to the Police who display impunity and forceful extortion. With corruption comes abuse of power at the detriment of the economy. For every penny stolen, or looted by government officials in government offices, there is a lagging in the economy because the money was suppose to cover for a project, infrastructure or to pay wages.

The annoying part about corruption is that it doesn't stay in the public sector alone but also in the private sector. There are a lot of business owners who do several illegal activities like evading tax, importing ammunition and so on who just bribe their way into not being indicted. Also, several large conglomerates especially in Africa pay bribes directly or indirectly so as to get the sole license to produce, manufacture or sell goods and services making them sole monopolies and killing the efforts of young entrepreneurs who want to grow their business. A lot of these corporation CEOs can do this indirectly by sponsoring political careers of certain political parties and person sso as to get what they want.

Corruption in Africa goes as far as 1/3 of several countries GDP getting missing like in South Africa where $100 Billion got missing in one year, or in Nigeria where news of animals swallowing money and running away with money is the popular thing.

The damages that corruption courses is often very serious as funds are always signed but are never used for the purpose and in most cases, the public funds are kept in foreign accounts thereby reducing the value of the local currency and affecting the economy of the country.

After writing all these, i then ask; what is the best way to tackle corruption?
