A goldmine in the ocean!

I saw this lady at work dressed in electronic paraphernalia on the rocks, scanning and digging in the areas that are normally covered in big waves.

Now I am not sure if this is the correct place to post a coin post, but I reckon that this has to do with finances 🙂

Something different here from our side, as I am going to show you a wonderful "find" that I had today. It was Spring tide and the sea drew back the furtherest at low tide than we have ever seen it in our 2 years here. But something very interesting occured here! Come and take a look!

So, being an inquisitve soul, I approached the lady and we had a great chat. She collects coins as a hobby and she showed me what she found while I was watching her digging in a pool at the rocks.

This is a 1938 King George Half Penny! Worth $39 (see below)

This is the coin that she showed me. A British, 1938 Half Penny.

Makes one to wonder what is laying in the rockbeds under the deep water of all of these ocean pools?

What the lady was telling me is that a couple of years ago, a severe storm washed all of the sand off the beaches here, exposing the rocky layers underneath the sand. She said that all that she had to do was to walk around to pick up coins. No scanner needed. Old silver Pounds dating back to the 17 and 18 hundreds. She also picked up other coins such as old Pennies, 6 pences and tickey's.

I saw at the source link of the coins that I posted above that this particular penny is worth $39

So, what are you waiting for? Get yourself a scanner and head out there to find your fortune 🤣
