Two and a half down, two and a half to go

Procrastination got the best of me these past few weeks; I feel i've been slacking in the road for the objectives I set myself at the beginning of the year. Yet, and especially thanks to some dips on Hive-Engine a week ago, I now realize half of my goals for the blockchain have been accomplished!

I wrote a post about them in the first day of the year, but to sum it up:

  • reach dolphinhood Check!
  • 8000 HP
  • 500 LEO
  • 250 LBI Half check!
  • 250 INDEX Check!

The surge in Hive's price not that long ago stirred up the internal markets a little bit, and hence, graphs like this:

INDEX, that was trading over 1,2 Hive less than a month ago, reached under 0,2, and is still trading around half the value it had. A dividends token, with a solid team behind it, coming this low, just seemed a great buying opportunity! I actually ended up buying more than I had previously had intended, I had ridiculously low orders that were filled. Can't complain! Too bad most LBI holder know better, I had low buy orders there as well. :)

Also reached 125 LBI, half of my yearly goal. Moving forward, LBI is going to be my next goal, then reaching those 500 LEO, and only then shall I focus on my HP. Prioritizing objectives is almost as important as setting them. Two and a half objectives reached, two and a half to go.

I've been reading a lot about changes in procrastination habits, setting goals, and being more productive. Investing in ourselves is the best investment we do, and I do feel I should be doing a lot more! Yes, two and a half of my yearly goals on the blockchain are reached, but still feels very little to me. As an example, here are my weekly goals in the past two weeks:

Translating for the non-portuguese speakers:

  • Increasing my AVA stake
  • Doing 7 trades/paper trades
  • reading about trading/cryptos at least 20 minutes a day
  • posting at least 4 times on Hive

I can't say I failed miserably, but only reached 50% of them! The ones I didn't reached? The ones that demand a little more effort: the middle two.

So the way I see it, I'm operating at half of my potencial! :))

One of the books I've read recently was called Eat that frog. The origin of the title is a saying that if you eat a live frog first thing in the morning, you day will go smoothly because you know the worst part of it (eating the frog) is already done. That "frog" are the activities you tend to procrastinate, and are normally the ones that will bring you more benefits. So the trick is swallowing those frogs first thing: make the harder/ more likely to be procrastinated tasks first!!

Recognizing flaws is part of the way to eliminate them, so I'm confident I will start eating more frogs in the near future: work in progress!! I was procrastinating doing this post, and it was not a big frog to swallow after all; I actually found the frog yummmy!

How about you? Are you a productivity master? Any tricks to be an expert frog-eater?

Have a great week everyone!
