In my ongoing pursuit of trying to diverse, I purchased a new crypto today. Now if only it was as easy as adding a few minority sounding names to the collection then I would really not be so hesitant.

This matters though so I like to give it due consideration or at least have the hype win me over into thinking it was my idea.

ThorChain

So I took some wood and built a barn

So today I bought some Rune which is ThorChains token and they have a ton of promises I think that aligns with the whole DeFI thing so you know none of it really makes sense.

What does make sense is that there are not many big players like them who are actually trying to build usable - to be proven useable - things.

Ethereum projects only have the benefit of having bigger adoption but frankly the tooling, for the most part, is hit and miss.

Not to digress. Why I still bought some and might employ a new way of thinking when buying these tokens is based on how I thought of it.

No joke

I sold some Hive and bought Rune, so I sold something which I can obtain with less effort (without cash) and bought something that is harder to obtain (need cash), also I used actual cash but that is beside the point.

Mostly I do not buy tokens unless I can get them at super low prices and although there are still a few for which I can take $10 and buy 1000 and that does feel good. There just is too much work involved in identifying them.

Rune cost me $0.64 1 and Hive, for example, is only $0.11 which means with the 74 Hive I had liquid I could only buy 12 or so Rune.

I would not do this ever before because having 74 of something is better than 12 right?

So if I think of Hive as the wood required to build a barn or what the fuck ever, then the thinking changes and it is simpler to find value in spending 74 items to get only 12.

It might just me but selling lower value things and buying higher-value things with them is quite the mindfuck.

Gamify

Now I am not kidding myself to think I am the only one that this has clicked for, heck I am sure many are going: "Fucking moron."

Fair enough.

I am just saying that when I now look at my assets. I might want to make each represent say a resource in a game and with that, there is effort, time, rarity etc attached and then changing between or buying new tokens should become much more objective for me personally.

Many factors drive these kinds of games and a lot of those mechanics can be used to even showcase tokens to people.

Let the games begin... I mean continue... Ah fuck I did not save, I mean wrong address.
