This Day In Crypto History @ 20 February - Samsung Goes Crypto
No new records from Bitcoin today but Uniswap has been trying its best to grab the headlines with a dramatic 68% jump up over the past 24 hours.
Only one entry for 20 February - Samsung's launch of its first crypto phone.
This Day in Crypto History is now up to date and ready to roll for the rest of the month except the 26th - I'm upping the bounty to 3 HIVE for the first person who can find a suitable event for that day.
20 February 2019 - Samsung Launches a Galaxy Phone with Preloaded Crypto Wallet
Mobile giant Samsung Electronics released its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S10 complete with a proprietary Samsung Knox security system which stores blockchain-based private keys.
The Galaxy S10 is built with defense-grade Samsung Knox, as well as secure storage backed by hardware, which houses your private keys for blockchain-enabled mobile services.
The South Korean smartphone maker had tried to keep the new cryptocurrency focused hardware system under wraps for months, but had problems with leaks including the accidental airing of the new phone's first commercial two month's early on a Norwegian TV station.
Samsung’s entry into the blockchain world followed hot on the heels of HTC who had released their crypto enabled Exodus phone just a few weeks earlier.
