The Bitcoin gaming app launched on Product Hunt today!

Many of you here are probably familiar with Play to Earn games that reward you with different tokens. Earlier this year I discovered a mobile app that works as a hub for games that reward you in actual Bitcoin, and today they’re launching on Product Hunt.

The cool thing about it is that you just download the ZEBEDEE App where you’ll find a bunch of games that you can play (you download those separately from the app store), and when you want to cash out Bitcoin rewards from any of these games you just enter your “gamertag” which is like a username that you set in the ZEBEDEE app. The rewards are sent to your ZEBEDEE account which is also your Lightning wallet.

From there, you can use that money to buy giftcards (there are tons of options like Amazon, Netflix, Spotify, Zalando, UBER, etc.). That’s really user-friendly for anyone new to crypto, because it means they don’t need to convert the rewards to other currencies or do transfers outside the app to do the purchase. But if you want to send your Bitcoin rewards somewhere else, you can do it by entering any Lightning Address you want. This also means cashing out is really fast and cheap since the fees for sending bitcoin on the lightning network are almost zero (not like on the Bitcoin mainnet). And if you need to top up your balance to buy the giftcard you want (let’s say you didn’t earn enough just from playing) it’s easy to do it with a credit card.

I’ve been playing these games for a few months now and I’ve had a great experience with most of them (some were a bit buggy but eventually got fixed). It’s really awesome that I can be rewarded with Bitcoin for the time I spend playing.

And that’s why they get my Upvote on Product Hunt today. I know that’s a big deal for any company launching innovative products and I’m sure they’d be happy if more crypto gaming fans upvoted them on their big day.
