The HBD savings option gave us another level of diversification on the Hive blockchain... Now, you can earn HIVE by powering up and curating, or HBD by keeping it on your account... One is more volatile, but with potential big gains, and the other one is more steady income...

Personally, I'm more for powering up, but I see a lot of logic in keeping part of funds in HBD...
