The More You Know, The More You Stake .:. #MyHiveGoals 2023

How do you know that you are in "a good trade"? How can you be sure that you have picked the "right project"? Does the blockchain that you pick have a future? How can you be sure of anything nowadays? There are no 100% right answers to these questions as we are living in uncertain times, but there are some hints of how you could know that you picked the "best possible path" on your journey...

I don't know about your "investing process" and I will write my personal approach to it... In the beginning, I check as many possible details about a certain project/blockchain/game... Usually, through searching YouTube videos and googling about it... Those are the first steps where I get some "rough sketch" about it... If I like it, I invest some "insignificant" amount of my portfolio, which is less than 1%, or even less than 0.1%... That keeps me motivated to follow the project "in-live", which means, following growth, "social signals", and the whole "vibe" around it...

After a while, it's time to make a bigger investment or pull out from it... At this stage, I'm already following Discord, Telegram, and some YT channels that publish regular content about it... If there is no content, it's a "no-no" (I had that situation with Wirex DUO investment)... If there is TOO MUCH content (yes, it can happen) that's another big red light for me... That means that they need a lot of shilling to keep the project alive... It can work, but usually, it works only for a short time... You can't sell dreams all the time...

So, when do I decide to TAKE the investment? When I have dived deep into it and not just scratched the surface, I get the picture of how it works, where the money comes from, whether is it decentralized enough or is just a "one-man-show"... If I still like the project, I'm giving it a chance...

Of course, after all that, I do follow things around it, and something similar happens with my HIVE investment (don't forget that we invest time and/or money... not just money)... The more I know about it, the more I like it! And if that happens, I'm sure that I'm in the right place... Nobody has to shill the token, convince me to go into it, etc...

Another thing is also important to say... You will not like everything about the project and the deeper the rabbit hole you go, the more dirty laundry you will find... But, if even knowing about those things, you are sure that they can be solved, that's another confirmation... Having a bigger stake, you will become the person who is asked for advice, and you can become the person who will lead the next move in another direction... Or, you will be the one who will solve those issues...

Back to #myhivegoals... In the beginning, let's check out HiveStats...

In the last 2 weeks, we didn't have any big moves on the markets, especially on HIVE... It was a bit boring, which is good for getting some steady gains, but if you want to make some significant moves, you need a bit more "action"... Probably because of that, I didn't earn too much spare HIVE on the 2nd layer, but I have managed somehow to do another 1K Power Up on #hivepud! It was a bit easier to do them last year and I'm not sure for how long I will be able to do them... But, I enjoy doing it and will do my best to continue with this "tradition". 😃

If I deduct the 1K power-up, I have added 143 HivePower to my goal last week... I missed my weekly goal by almost 60 but I hope it will be better when markets start to move... More opportunities to earn additional HIVE!

Judging by the first 2 months of the year, I will have a lot of problems with reaching my LEO Power goal... The only "advantage" for faster accumulation is the value of the token... It goes down week by week, so I suppose if it continues with this downtrend, I will have more chances to get some cheap tokens...

In the last 7 days, I have added only 36 LEO tokens to my LEO Power.

GAMING GOALS - Flexible Goals

Currently, STARBITS tokens are extremely cheap, and Jux from the Rising Star game mentioned that there was a record amount of packs being opened a few days ago! I'm doing my 36 packs per week, but maybe I should raise that number by another 12 packs? As I'm closer to level 250, one of the new missions will be available for me to play... The mission needs petrol cans, so at this moment, I'm investing my STARBITS in buying those, but I suppose after finishing that, I could open more packs!

In the last 7 days, I have accumulated exactly the same amount of cards as in the previous 2 weeks! 107 cards are the magic number lately... :) 108 cards from the pack, minus 6 cards per week for a giveaway, plus some petrol cans and records, and there we are... 😃

Maybe the price of HIVE was relatively stable, but the price of the GLX token wasn't... It was going up, down, and all around... I said to myself that I will try to buy 300 tokens per day from the market, but I didn't want to FOMO into it blindly... So, when the price was up, I waited for it to come down... The validator license sale comes in more than a week, and some more experienced users are collecting tokens for the purchase, before the possible price pump... Not sure if we will see some big pump or not, but I bet that someone will have a "fat finger" on the launch... 😃

I will try to ignore the noise and stack my GLX token tokens day by day... :) In the last 7 days, I have accumulated another 3774 tokens... A bit less than the week before, but my staking rewards are steady!
