Customs and comfort are two of the biggest killers of financial freedom that can exist. Unfortunately, in this world we currently live in, it seems that they are becoming more common and more present.

People want everything, and they want it fast
Most people want to be rich, to have a lot of money, to be able to have comfort and a life worth living together with their loved ones; and this is completely understandable. But what is not at all understandable is that they want to achieve everything insanely fast.
I mean, people want it all, and they want it now! It is in that of "wanting it now" where the problem really lies in all this. Because everything worth having in life requires an effort and the smart action app. And this is so because it should be so, and it is even better that it be so, because if it were not so, everyone would be a millionaire today, ergo, no one really would be, because the level of inflation that would bring it would collapse the world economies.
Also, if we are all millionaires, who would do the other jobs in the world? Who would do the work of taking care of children, driving cars, being waiters, being maids, and whatever hard work or trade there might be? Nobody, right? Because nobody was going to be so stupid as to have to make an effort beyond the necessary to do something when being a millionaire (in this hypothetical case), would be so easy. This would be as stupid as someone trying to reinvent the wheel today trying to make it square instead of circular.
So when someone wants to make you believe that being a millionaire is easy, don't believe them, because becoming a millionaire is possible, but not for everyone, because it requires "Beating yourself"; intelligent action and different level of effort than most people are capable of.
In addition, obtaining wealth requires time, and during that time it takes to obtain it, a necessary learning is acquired, a learning that transforms the person into someone better, more capable and more efficient in favor of their goals.
Relying on a single source of income is suicide
When we analyze most people we realize that there are many things that cause people to fail financially; and one of the causes is what we referred to earlier, of wanting to achieve everything too quickly; but even worse than this, and I think the biggest mistake that can be made in this regard, is wanting to depend on a single source of income.
Relying on a single source of income is suicide in any case, and worse if it doesn't earn you enough money. Because if you have a job that takes you all day and doesn't allow you to cover your financial needs, then it can only be called "Economical Suicide" and not otherwise.
In communist countries we often see how there are people who work as doctors, nurses, teachers, etc., receiving salaries that are not even enough to pay for the bus they need to take to go to work. This is sheer madness. And let's not talk about vocation in this sense, because that is not vocation, those who work in a job that does not even cover their transportation costs to work, they are not aware of wealth and are just wasting time.
However, despite everything mentioned, increasing sources of income is generally not applied in the case of people who work under a dependency relationship, but in the case of people who invest, who create projects, etc. That is, in a nutshell, I am referring here to what is known as entrepreneurs.
This is why so many people want to be an entrepreneur today, because they have somehow understood that it is the only way to get financial wealth one day. Who understands that the path is to be an entrepreneur, also need to understands that this path will require continuous learning and learning time; it need to understands well that the path will be hard and exhausting, but that in the end it will allow them to achieve their goal of economic wealth; and One of the most important lessons in this regard is not to depend on a single source of income, instead of that, should have many.
The moment when financial freedom is achieved
The true moment in which you acquires financial freedom is when you no longer depends on any source of income in a specific and particular way, because you has so many sources that provide you with money, that you can do without some if necessary.

And if you don't believe me, try to be happy without having a roof over your head, without clothes, without food and without medicines for you and yours. Verdades sobre la riqueza, el dinero y la libertad financiera

La gente quiere todo, y lo quiere rápido.
La mayoría de la gente quiere ser rica, tener mucho dinero, poder tener comodidad y una vida que valga la pena vivir junto a sus seres queridos; y esto es completamente comprensible. Pero lo que no es del todo comprensible es que quieran lograrlo todo increíblemente rápido.
Quiero decir, la gente lo quiere todo, ¡y lo quiere ahora! Es en eso de “quererlo ya” donde realmente radica el problema de todo esto. Porque todo lo que vale la pena tener en la vida requiere un esfuerzo y la aplicación de acción inteligente. Y esto es así porque así debe ser, y es mejor que así sea, porque si no fuera así, hoy todo el mundo sería millonario, ergo, en realidad nadie lo sería, porque el nivel de inflación que traería colapsaría las economías mundiales.
Además, si todos somos millonarios, ¿quién haría los demás trabajos del mundo? ¿Quién haría el trabajo de cuidar niños, conducir carros, ser mozos, ser sirvientas, y cualquier trabajo duro u oficio que haya? Nadie, ¿verdad? Porque nadie iba a ser tan tonto como para tener que hacer un esfuerzo más allá del necesario para hacer algo siendo millonario (en este hipotético caso), sería tan fácil. Esto sería tan estúpido como que alguien intente reinventar la rueda hoy tratando de hacerla cuadrada en lugar de circular.
Así que cuando alguien quiera hacerte creer que ser millonario es fácil, no le creas, porque ser millonario es posible, pero no para todos, porque requiere “Superarte a ti mismo”; acción inteligente y un nivel de esfuerzo diferente al que la mayoría de la gente es capaz de hacer.
Además, la obtención de riqueza requiere tiempo, y durante ese tiempo que se tarda en obtenerla se adquiere un aprendizaje necesario, un aprendizaje que transforma a la persona en alguien mejor, más capaz y más eficiente en favor de sus fines.
Depender de una sola fuente de ingresos es un suicidio
Cuando analizamos a la mayoría de las personas, nos damos cuenta de que hay muchas cosas que hacen que las personas fracasen financieramente; y una de las causas es a la que nos referimos antes, de querer lograrlo todo demasiado rápido; pero aún peor que esto, y creo que el mayor error que se puede cometer en este sentido, es querer depender de una sola fuente de ingresos.
Depender de una sola fuente de ingresos es un suicidio en cualquier caso, y peor si no te genera suficiente dinero. Porque si tienes un trabajo que te lleva todo el día y no te permite cubrir tus necesidades económicas, entonces sólo se le puede llamar “Suicidio Económico” y no de otra manera.
En los países comunistas vemos a menudo cómo hay personas que trabajan como médicos, enfermeras, profesores, etc., recibiendo salarios que no alcanzan ni para pagar el autobús que deben tomar para ir a trabajar. Esto es pura locura. Y no hablemos de vocación en ese sentido, porque eso no es vocación, los que trabajan en un trabajo que ni siquiera les alcanza para el transporte al trabajo, no son conscientes de la riqueza y sólo están perdiendo el tiempo.
Sin embargo, a pesar de todo lo comentado, el aumento de las fuentes de ingresos generalmente no se aplica en el caso de las personas que trabajan en relación de dependencia, sino en el caso de las personas que invierten, que crean proyectos, etc. refiriéndose aquí a lo que se conoce como emprendedores.
Esta es la razón por la que tantas personas quieren ser empresarios hoy, porque de alguna manera han entendido que es la única forma de obtener riqueza financiera algún día. Quien entiende que el camino es ser emprendedor, también necesita entender que ese camino requerirá aprendizaje continuo y tiempo de aprendizaje; necesitan entender bien que el camino será duro y agotador, pero que al final les permitirá alcanzar su meta de riqueza económica; y Una de las lecciones más importantes en este sentido es no depender de una sola fuente de ingresos, en lugar de eso, se deben tener muchas.
El momento en que se alcanza la libertad financiera
El verdadero momento en el que adquieres la libertad financiera es cuando ya no dependes de ninguna fuente de ingresos de forma específica y particular, pues tienes tantas fuentes que te proporcionan dinero, que puedes prescindir de alguna si es necesario.

En el momento en que ya has obtenido la libertad financiera, tus necesidades económicas ya han sido cubiertas, y también las necesidades económicas de tu familia. El momento en que tienes libertad financiera es cuando ya puedes brindar trabajo y fuentes de ingresos a otras personas para producir mucho más dinero y fuentes de ingresos en el futuro.
Pero finalmente, la verdadera y más importante prueba de que ya tienes la deseada libertad financiera es que eres dueño de tu tiempo, porque tienes la libertad de hacer lo que quieras, cuándo y cómo quieras hacerlo. Por eso me río cuando escucho o leo decir que el dinero no es lo más importante en la vida; Porque si bien es cierto que el dinero no lo puede comprar todo, casi todo lo que se puede conseguir en la vida requiere dinero, y todo implica dinero, el dinero mueve el mundo (y no el amor, como muchos piensan), el dinero mueve los grandes intereses, y por tanto, el dinero es de capital importancia, y siempre lo será.
Y si no me crees, trata de ser feliz sin tener un techo sobre tu cabeza, sin ropa, sin comida y sin medicinas para ti y los tuyos. ¿No puedes ser feliz si no tienes esas cosas, verdad? y tales cosas se obtienen (como sabéis) con dinero. Así que no permita que las filosofías comunistas baratas alienen su comprensión de lo que realmente son y deberían ser las cosas.
El dinero es importante y siempre lo será.
