I am a big fan of #vw brand. Maybe I cannot afford fair and square of #bmw so I go straight to the people car with open arms. I had a 2003 Jetta with nice rims for almost 6 years. I had a Golf TDI as well and now I jumped to a Passat. For some reason I found them easy to drive and the ones I had are problem free to own.

If you take away VW big issue of diesel engines, they have been reliable in my neck of the hood. We are in 2021 and there is a big shift going on around the world for electric vehicle. I am not in the market for a new ride but it is pressing that my next buy will be EV. Couple years ago, it looks expensive to think of owning a Tesla. Tesla tends to favor a luxury feel and look to their lineup.

So many companies are coming over the fence, the prices are dropping like flies. Kandi is a Chinese manufacturer where they have two EV model right now in the US. $13k + incentives you can own one. They are small by the way and range is barely helping at 180 miles. BMW Mini offers the cheapest with incentives to the market as well. The range is barely suffice around 140 miles.

2022 will give a better picture for a lot of car makers but the idea is turning to EV full time. I did hear Volvo planning on reaching that goal by 2030. In the US #volvo tends to focus on luxury even though it is a Chinese own company. It is on the other hand an European brand with Chinese owners. This is less than 9 years away, enough time for Musk to crank up enough model S,Y, etc... around the world.

So far Tesla is leading cause as the only build EV and they are getting better at it. So every company you know probably has an EV model. They do not advertise it much to protect the gas engine. Just like Volvo, VW is going to stop producing new engines. If I get it right they will continue to use what they have till it phases out for the EV model to take over. VW will not entirely stop manufacturing combustion engine. They
will prioritize EV by that date.

Audi will do the same. All the brands affiliate with VW will enter the same phase to make ways by 2030 for electric vehicles to populate the road. Before Elon Musk, I remember General Motors had an EV model they tried for a mere decade before they pull them back for Hummer. Elon is bold enough to stick to its plan and now the whole world is following him.

Even Apple is considering to build an EV. If Musk can do it, so many new companies with no factory are coming to the market. #lucid is one of them. Most engineers are coming from Tesla. #rivian is another one with beautiful design but no actual EV for the market. I guess Tesla success is making it hard for newcomers to come ashore.

China has quite a few under its sleeves but you know, you may never see them all in the US. I can see the craze of electric vehicle as the craze for crypto. I guess in the next five year, we are entering the future with 6G looming above our head with drones delivering packages. I can see why Tony Stark is a figurative name for Elon Musk.

Now will the world be able to drive EV cars, trucks in 10 years? Will EV slow down the warming effect of CO2? I think it will be possible to implement. The real issue with EV, it needs to charge. So you may not see EV running in a dessert where there is no plug to charge within a vicinity. Battery should get better and range should prolong the life of the battery. Combustion engine will not go away overnight. They will exist alongside EV the same way crypto will exist alongside fiat.

It will be a battle for the ages where using #crypto could be more advantageous like driving an EV. All I care about
the value will be there and the price should be fair for many to join the party. I hope my first EV to be a VW. Lately Tesla is leading the pack. The price will drop down as more competitors are in the game. The sun will always shine and having less CO2 on the road will help in the city. The technology to use the sun as a charging mechanism should get better with time.

Volvo is introducing a new lease for EV. It is still fairly pricey for everyday folks to participate. Since EV denotes technology, crypto folks will be first inline to buy the cars. Are you already driving one? Couple years from now it will be approachable to own one. It will be a leap of faith.
