August 13th is Right Around the Corner
August 13 is around the corner and we’re super stoked for it to show up! Back in May, when we opened the Marketplace, we knew we had to look forward to see when we could get people on the map…yes, the game map! Here’s what we also heard at the same time, “Wen Game?!”
Wen Game!?!
It’s nothing new to us to hear “Wen Game?” It’s something we say to ourselves every day. LOL! What we also do is take note of where we are, how fast we’re going, and comparing that to the dates we put out to you, our loving audience and closest fans. We decided to do something about a month ago to really amp up the game. We still don’t know the exact date for the game release other than we’re expecting it to be fully released by the end of the year. Sometimes, that looks like November, sometimes December, and even about 2 weeks ago, it looked like it would be October.
The truth is, we really don’t know when we’ll be completely done with it (or at least done enough to release it as we'll always be developing), but we do still believe it will be by the end of this year and we’re doing everything we can to get it out as early as possible, after thorough testing and QA (of course). In that pursuit, we put a lot of our resources toward programming the backend in the game and we had a breakthrough a couple weeks ago! We were able to set up a fight between us, the player, and bots. The breakthrough got us super excited and we even have video of some action we’re going to share with you…
Current Development
With our push toward developing the game and its backend, we actually fell behind on the map. There’s a problem with that…the map isn’t ready for the walk through, but what map we do have (which is quite a bit anyway) is enough for us to shoot some video of us walking, running, jumping, and shooting around within the map. So here’s what we’re planning to do...On August 13, we’re going to release to the same Founders that were going to do a map walkthrough the video of us shooting bots, etc. In a few weeks, we will have the map ready for people to walk through. So while this isn’t what we had planned in March, it is something to show that “Wen Game?!” is coming along nicely. “Wen Pretty Pictures?!” has never been the question we have received. We hope that those of you who are Founders understand the delay in the map walk through, while still getting to see a glimpse of what the game will look like. We’re still building the map and we’re definitely still building the game. Which comes first, the game or the map? Well…they come together. And when they’re fully “together,” the Founders* will still be the first to see and to play. Thank you for your continued support. We’ll kill you soon enough (That’s game speak for “see you on the battlefield, in-game”).
Becoming a Founder
How did people get to be a Founder while the rest of us get to sit in jealousy? Can I still become a Founder?
Founders are fans who bought a LOT of LVL early on. (LVL is the token that will be used in all the games we're making, specifically Psyber-X at the moment as well as the marketplace to buy, trade, or sell NFTs) Early on was October 2021 ish through December 2021 ish. Buying a certain amount of LVL early on was the main requirement. In January-March, people had the opportunity to buy Land. If you bought 15 plots or 1 commercial plot, you were given the Land Baron title. Those were the methods used to be able to see the Alpha viewings of the map and play the game. The Beta viewings will be done in other ways...like buying the Whitelist passes with Avax.
