BAYC and OtherSide discord servers gets breached by a phishing attack. This was due to a breach from the community manager Boris Vagner. The attack left the community short of over 145eth.
While many people take out their rage on BAYC management and dev team. This kind of account is not new to the crypto world. And to be frank more has been lost. Yes this could have been prevented if more the right permissions where put in place.
But Decentralization comes with a curse. When we are all left independent of our finances, we tend to Underestimate the role centralized finance had been playing all along.
