Artisanal Perfumes: Scents from a Forgotten World. & Crypto.

_{Adding the matured perfume concentrate I crafted using natural ingredients to be diluted to eau de parfum strength. Which is between 20-30% pure essential oils/absolutes mix diluted in rest pure grain alcohol or carrier oil(coconut/jojoba/etc).}

I wanted to share with you guys on HIVE that @kaliphae and I, will be accepting Crypto for our Products. We create high-quality small batches of artisanal perfumes, crafted from luxurious and rare natural ingredients without any synthetics. Our perfumes are crafted according to the ancient methodologies of the art in tune with nature before the chemical industry got involved and took over.

The Perfumes we create are highly unique and rare examples of a true authentic alchemical fragrance. Over the years I have studied the art of distillation and tincturing, so that now I occasionally use some of my own artisan distilled essential oils as ingredients for my creations, my most recent was a codistillation of frankincese resin with lavender flowers from my garden. Otherwise I source my perfumery material from a small company "Hermitage Oils" that sources rare and quality distillations and flower absolutes from small producers around the globe.

I also like to purchase my tree and flower resins from "Apothecary Garden" which is run by an awesome individual in Canada who actually travels to purchase from the different villages and tribes locally, where he buys his resins at a fair price straight from the source, very dedicated to sustainability.

The price of the ingredients and their rarity, allow me only to produce small batches with what I have available. It is impossible to recreate the same scent twice using the type of ingredients that I use even if I followed the exact same recipe. One batch of rose absolute or essential oil, differs tremendously from another batch. These natural ingredients are highly complex with layers of depth and dimension that are a whole different world compared to what is sold as perfume nowadays.

Since there is no simple checkout app, we will send you our address and a conversion of the price into your chosen crypto, you will need to transact the amount and send us the transaction link, once we receive that and see that it is being confirmed your order will be prepared for shipping. When the transaction completes confirmation and arrives in our Wallet, your shipment will have the green light to be sent out.

While there are a host of merchant application allowing crypto payments such as paypal, these are merely ways in which centralised financial insitutions are trying to hijack the blockchain technology's capacity for decentralisation of finance. Since the merchant does not receive crypto through these checkout but instead receives Fiat. This is probably a tactic of Paypal to earn a store of crypto over time, since they can easily store the crypto for their own investment and pay out the value in Euro from their own Fiat accounts.

This also does not benefit the merchant, since I much rather receive my payment in crypto, not only do I receive the value for my product, but with the nature of crypto I can easily see what I earn grow, if I hodl my earnings for a certain amount of time merely by the potential of their value growing and certainly also through the ability that some of the cryptos I might receive permit me to stake them and gain at the very least an interest on my profits even if the price does not change.

Also checking out our Etsy, you will see Smudge Sticks as well, which are made by @kaliphae, but with a twist and a special technique we create our own tinctures of resins and other natural fragrant materials with which we infuse the smudge stick, to add a layer of complexity and oomph. There are also some beauty and pampering products made by her, all crafted using the very best of ingredients and scented using the most luxurious of natural perfumery materials.

All of our products are actually inspired and made for ourselves in the first place. I love perfume and alchemy, and was tired of wearing scents that are worn by a million other people, especially once I realised that most of these modern perfumes no matter how expensive the brand is, are actually cheap synthetic imitations of their past glory. Natural ingredients are impossible for modern brands at the scale of their massive production, so it has all been replaced with designer molecules that are synthetic imitations, with no testing about the health effects these compounds might have in the long run on both our health and the environment.

So today I craft together with @kaliphae our own small batches of rare and unique perfumes, using ingredients that used to be worn by kings and queens and more valuable than gold in weight considering it takes 10,000 Roses just to produce 5ml of essential oil. And to share our love for the art with the world, we create a little more than we need for ourselves so that we can share some of these unique rarities with the rest of the world. Hopefully giving those who come in contact with the scent the memory of what perfume actually smelled like when it was composed from the riches of nature instead of the synthetic perversions born in the laboratory.

For those of you perhaps more technically minded and fluent in programming, I would suggest considering building an app that facilitates checking out with crypto. So that as a merchant I can link the addresses to multiple currencies into the application, with the price of the object in Fiat, so that at checkout the app automatically converts the fiat price into that of the crypto chosen as payment option by the buyer adjusted to market prices live at the time of checkout. As a merchant I want to be able to fix a stable initial price, not having to worry about having to adjust the pricing for each individual crypto as their value moves up or down in constant flux.

That way the sale is made and confirmed with the value at the time of purchase. The customer receives his goods even if shortly after the purchase the value of the crypto should drop to 0, that is a risk I as a merchant am willing to make accepting Crypto.

All apps I have seen so far either are meant for one Crypto. Or they are gimmicks that use a third-party to accept the crypto but pay the merchant with fiat. There is as of now no simple solution for something that should be quite easy to setup. Since all we need is a simple checkout process that streamlines it all, which notifies the seller ideally when a purchase is made and sends the buyer a receipt confirming their order.
