No, you did not read that wrong. Yes, you are right, Splinterlands Land.

So I started playing Splinterlands more than a year now, and was blessed to meet awesome people along the way. I have @davemccoy helping me within the first week of joining the game. I then got to a pretty toxic guild and was booted out after stupidly donating all my DEC. Then, I got into a spectacular guild and met ridiculously helpful bunch of folks. To the lovely people in the "SoulReaper" guild, people like @cmplxty , @elbrava, @sagesigma , @swayzilla and the list goes on, these folks literally are like my family in the Splinterlands.

As I start to play more seriously, I always am tempted and wanted to get my hands on Land, yes Land! It was initially sold at $10, but literally soared to ridiculous prices now. Even so, I am indeed very tempted to get my hands on this. Just an update, prices are $244 as of now, equivalent to around 285 Hive.

So recently, I was like screw it, I really really wanted this! And so, I began my journey, of accumulating Hive through my posts. Hoping that I can receive enough upvotes to get me there one day soon. Ideally, before the release of the Land functions whereby prices would definitely explode out of proportion.

As we speak, I am currently at 2.41 Hive. Yups, less than 1% of my target, well done Rayius... In fact, I am currently at 0.84% of my target. But yet, everyone should have a goal to work towards to right?

So whats up with me and Lands? In case this topic has been buried, time to excavate it once again. There are many interesting facts about Land, and perhaps every week I shall share one interesting fact as I showcase my progress.

It Is Going To Change Gameplay

Yes, you heard me right. There were many different new additions to Splinterlands, from the likes of Chaos Legion, to Brawl with Gladiators, to SPS. Never once have the game changed. It is still submitting your lineup and just wait. But upon the introduction of Land, THIS WILL CHANGE!

Very soon, we will have Items and Spells! So what are these?

Items and spells will be new types of playable cards in the future of Splinterlands. Instead of a single round of drafting then submitting a team, there will then be a second round in which players have a chance to play items and spells to further affect the action of the battle.

Items and Spells are one of the main purposes and goals of the Splinterlands land expansion. Players will have the exclusive ability to produce Items and Spells, meaning that they will not be officially sold by Splinterlands from a supply. Players will have to rely upon the resources and crafting of their own land, and on the secondary Item and Spell markets managed by other players.
