It’s Time I Dive Into The VYB(Verify Your Brain) Token

Last week @l337m45732 asked me if I knew about the new verify your brain(VYB) also known as vybranium. I had no idea what it was, but thanks to him, I had to go and do some readings about it. Thanks bro, for always making sure I get the latest information about any project both off Hive and on Hive. I really do appreciate and I hope you feel better soon. Okay, sorry about that just wanted to use this opportunity to do a shout out to my brother in Hive.

I decided to try to read more on VYB then I saw @vyb.vyb post on New Tribe & Token: Verify Your Brain || vybrainium (VYB), the moment I opened it I was scared because my attention spam in reading is really short. Hive made me learn how to spend more than 5 minutes reading. The moment I saw the number of words I became scared and decided I will read the post gradually instead of reading everything at a go. But thanks to @vikbuddy who made an extremely short post about it explaining VYB. You can read the post here.

For a while now I have been staking POB because I believe in the community, and the motivation I get from @onealfa through his dedication to proof of brain both to the community and to the token keeps giving me hope to keep staking, but the value of the token has not been impressive. I was surprised to see the value of Pob increase all of a sudden, this was before I read the Verify your brain articles. After reading it I understood the reason behind the price increase of Pob tokens.

So according to my understanding, VYB is in a way to support the utility of Pob. That’s really nice because I was beginning to wonder, aside having the Pob tokens, what can we do with it. The reason I have stuck with proof of brain is the community, I love the community so much, but I need the token to have great use case to attract more people and have more value.

While reading about verify your brain, I was so excited to see that downvotes will have no weight same goes with self vote. Although I don’t have anything against self vote, am not for or against self vote but I feel downvote is too harsh. A common blockchain rivalry can result to a downvote and it might get misused if the person is a whale. So I love the idea of downvote having no weight, I believe there need to be a proper way of handling issues that downvotes were created for. The only time I agree with downvotes is plagiarism, or going against one of the Hive’s rule. But aside that, I don’t see any use for downvote. Well Verify your brain is not having any of that, this was what got my attention and sold me into the idea. I didn’t want to read further, I knew I wanted to partake in this.

I will love to get some VYB, I tried getting some yesterday by buying little by little, but I realized that my Pob sent to @x-1pob-2vyb was refunded because I didn’t use the market memo and the minimum transaction amount was 250 POB. My bad, I didn’t know about that.

This means that I will have to get some more Pob. Sweet seeing the demand for Pob increasing. Nice one @trostparadox, and I will like to thank you for sending me 26 VYB, I got it for my generosity to @funshee who lost their pob token sending it to the wrong address. I’m really grateful for the vyb. It’s things like this that make me love the proof of brain community and Hive in general because of the love we have for one another in the community.

So for me, I will be getting some more vyb with my Pob tokens and I will buy some Pob in the market, don’t have liquid swap.hive now, but definitely I will get some. I’m excited already and I think you should check it out also.
