When you ask people how they can get rich most times they only suggest investment, like investing is the gate way to riches, forgetting that investment doesn’t make broke people rich but makes rich people richer and wealthy. This is the sad truth, it only takes a miraculous crypto event to have you become rich overnight by investing as a broke person. If a broke person wants to invest they invest what they have and sometimes what they can afford to lose. So if a broke person has $200 how much do you think they can invest? Sometimes they risk it all and invest all they have which is the $200 and sometimes they invest half, which is $100 and sometimes they invest 10% of what they have.
source So lets analyse it this way, if they invest all they have and the investment makes 100% increase, that means they have extra $200, will that solve their problem or make them rich? Its just an extra $200 in the bag, if they invested half, and it gave them 100% increase, that will be extra $100, will that be the life changing money they are looking for? Now if a rich man makes the same decision but invests higher, lets say $200k or $1 Million and makes 100% gain, that will be an extra $200k or $1 Million added to their wealth, lets be sincere its reasonable enough right? Remember this is a rich man who can afford to lose this money, this means that he has other means of income or investment that is probably fetching more money. They can afford to dollar cost average in on an investment monthly, lets say they create this habit of investing $50k in a coin or whatever investment they like every month, then do that consistent for a year, that will be totalled to $600k investment for the year.

If the value of their investment skyrockets by 50% that is extra $300k for the year, passive income without breaking a sweat, while we have people people who work so hard just to earn $150k yearly and they are very happy. so in a year the rich has made 6 figures extra by investing, if a broke person or less richer person decided to do the same thing the rich man did, by investing lets say $50 or $500 every month, its going to take over 20 years to achieve what the rich man achieved in a year, by the time the broke man must have invested his way to $300k or $600k he would have grown old. But if he was investing in his skills as well, with the skills he has learnt or gotten, he would have create a means to earn enough income to make money so that when he invests this money it will make him richer and he won’t have to wait for @0 years or more to be rich. So skills is more important to create wealth than investment. This is my opinion though.
