It’s not a new information right now to know that Facebook is rebranding to Meta and that’s because they are taking a step into the metaverse. While the news sounded like something that seems like an opportunity for one person to collect all the future digital power we are going to have in this world, I couldn’t help but come to a realization that this is kind of the beginning of a great thing.
Let me explain better, before I joined Hive, I thought that the metaverse was something we can only say because it’s fiction and you can only see it in movies. Just like Free Guy , Ready Player One and so on. I never thought it was something I was going to pick interest in. But after joining and reading a lot of blogs about metaverse from @taskmaster4450 , I started picking interest into doing some research.
You see, benefits of being on Hive, you literally learn and earn everyday and it will change your life financially.
After doing my research I realized that the metaverse is another goldmine you can be extremely rich from. We have projects that give some qualities of the metaverse and you can use the opportunity to start exploring and knowing these project before the metaverse becomes our everyday reality.
Now coming from seeing the brighter side of Mark Zuckerberg rebranding to Meta, we will say he is helping the world do some free PR of what the Metaverse is. Mark Zuckerberg through his company Facebook Inc(Now Meta) controls three of the world’s most used social media ( Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp). You can imagine the power he possesses.
When you open your WhatsApp social media app, what’s the first thing you see? If you can’t recall, I will show you.
Key point, the WhatsApp logo and the *”from FACEBOOK” reminder. The amount of people using this app in the world are 2 , 3 Billion or more people. Now these billons of people know that FACEBOOK owns this app.
Now let’s go to the Instagram. When you try to use your Instagram app, what’s the first thing you notice. Let me show you again if you can’t recall.
Once again you are being reminded that this app is own by the company FACEBOOK. Trust me this is not where it ends.
You go to the messenger you are reminded again that Facebook owns the app.
Then you go to the Facebook app itself and it reminds you that Facebook owns the app and shows you other apps it also own.
Do you understand where am going to with all these images I have shown you? Now imagine when the rebranded name has been implemented and all those apps that show from Facebook is replaced with from Meta. That’s major Metaverse PR, lots of people have known what the Metaverse is all thanks to Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement. More people are beginning to develop interest and want to invest in it because we are seeing it as the future.
The downside of it is that, if most of these people don’t do their proper research and know that Mark Zuckerberg is trying to centralized the Metaverse which is not a good thing, then we are going to watch this man take full digital control. But if they do more research and stumble upon decentralization and how the metaverse needs to be decentralized for equal and transparent utilization, then Mark Zuckerberg has played a big role in helping spread the Metaverse awareness faster.
After his announcement, we watched lots of Metervers projects spring up in price. I was lucky enough to have started investing on SAND token before the price pump. This just tells you that more people are getting aware right now and they are investing in the metaverse because they want to invest in the future and be stinking rich.
This is why you need to look at some projects that are developing towards the meterverse. These are projects am not giving you a financial advice to go invest your money. But am telling you to do your own research and do what you like with the information you get from it.
