This week has really been overwhelming for me and my friends trying to onboard new Hive users. It has been an hourly activity for me and at this point, I feel so fulfilled. I never knew how much I could convince people to join Hive till I started.

Well it’s an unwise decision to hear all the qualities of Hive and decide not to take advantage of it.

Initially when I started Hive I wasn’t planning on bringing people because most times people are difficult to convince. Especially when you are doing it for free, they feel they don’t have anything to lose so why should they worry. But the rate of unemployment is really high in Nigeria. More than 60% of Nigerian youth graduates are unemployed. I am a graduate who studied Industrial Chemistry, I haven’t gotten a job since I graduated because “Nepotism” plays in that aspect. I never like the idea of working for people always like the idea of working with people. That’s one of the reasons I love Hive.

Hive was too good to be kept all by my self so I decided to persuade @onwugbenuvictor. He took Hive seriously and I saw the zeal he also had for Hive. He loves crypto as much as I do, so navigating his way around Leofinance wasn’t that hard for him. I loved how good he turned out on Leofinance and Hive, so I decided it was time to actually bring more people into Hive. Bringing people on Hive became so overwhelming because I had to do a 1 hour explanation for them. This is because most of them are completely new to the crypto world, so they need to get the concept of how the money is being generated.

This is because I get a lot of “hope Hive is not a scam website?” question.

One of the newbies I brought into Hive asked me how the money on Hive is generated. Trust me I have explained this to him before but he still doesn’t get it. Which is understandable because I believe with time he will understand.

He kept on repeating if hive pays us from our internet we use in accessing it. He thinks we get paid from traffic. I’m going to do another lecture of proof of work and proof of stake mechanism to him so he can fully understand.

This week was really a busy weak for @attentionneeded, @onwugbenuvictor, @estherscott and I. This is because of the people we have been bringing into Hive. Mentoring them has not been easy. Some of them don’t fully understand the full concept of crypto yet so they pass these newbies to me to explain what they can’t explain.

For now we are doing the basic explanations of what Hives is and letting them know that they shouldn’t see Hive as an easy money platform where they can just copy and paste articles on and expect to make a lot of money from. Hive rewards you for your brain’s hard work through community support.

Because they know friends who also love to blog, they also tell them about Hive and send my contact to them. They will do the necessary things by telling them about Hive and how they can earn from blogging on Hive. After they send my contact to them, they will reach out to me and I will continue from where they stopped. This makes it quite easier for me. So it’s a really great team work.

Some of these people love crypto but have not gotten the chance or opportunity to learn, they get so excited when I introduce Leofinance to them. On Leofinance you can learn a lot about cryptocurrency.

Hive is really vast and is a great platform to be on. Nigeria has a lot of talented youths and am so confident that Hive is a great platform for them to be on.
