Big day for Indian Crypto Community As Parliamentary committee to meet crypto industry players today
It was the most awaited day as crypto players in India wanted to have a meet with government officials and finally, that day has arrived. Indian crypto community has been trying a lot to meet them but it was just not happening because maybe govt was not that much interested to get in to. In fact, the media was also creating a negative atmosphere for crypto in the country. Now when crypto investment in India is booming so now finally government has decided to look in to because ignoring it is not possible. There are some well-known names who either run exchanges are part of the crypto industry in India who are going to meet in parliament.
Wazirx founder Nishchal Shetty has been tweeting for the last 3 year approx about crypto every day without fail. Even hash tag #indiawantscrypto was trending a few times and believe that it was also noticed by the govt but probably they wanted to give it more time. This is an opportunity when these leaders will be able to explain about crypto to government officials and this should make them realize that how India can grow and make the best out of crypto.
Government officials will be holding an official meeting today to discuss the role of cryptocurrencies in India. For this, the officials will be meeting the top crypto stakeholders in the industry, including crypto exchanges like WazirX, CoinDCX, CoinSwitch Kuber, and others.
Crypto is a revolution and here to stay because its decentralized and banning it in a country does not mean that it will be banned instead its just a way to keep people away through the legit way but there are ways which people can follow. Such ways will not help the country whereas having legit and regulation status will also enable options for revenue generation for govt and this is good for economic growth as well.
Like I said that its a big day for the Indian crypto community as its the first time when the government decided to meet. There is a tweet by the official loksabha Twitter handle about this meeting and now this is confined that it will be held in loksabha in parliament.
This is certainly an opportunity for the crypto industry to share about crypto and blockchain technology with the government and if things go well then hopefully it can lead to postie regulation in India soon. We need to understand that due to lack o regulation there is a lot on hold and recently payment also shared that they can be part of crypto if there is regulation and I am sure that there will be much more.
I am excited to see what happens and would like to know the outcome once the meeting is over and am sure that this will be shared by the media correctly without any manipulation.
