My go to block explore: HiveBlocks was down for a few days last week and so I had to source out a couple of reliable alternatives, using the excellent HiveProjects.io which I'm delighted to see is still up and running and updating (an excellent source in itself!) as it has a section on Block Explorers for Hive (and one for Hive Engine!).

There are in fact two functioning alternative block explorers if you want to dig deeper into the data on the chain:

@ausbitbank's thang....

https://hive.ausbit.dev/ looks very different to Hive Blocks on its homepage, but has plenty of useful information including API nodes (not sure what the colour scheme is for the dots underneath each though), witnesses (you can order by the ones you have voted for, or all), and some other info such as prices of various coins....

If you type in your username - so me it's https://hive.ausbit.dev/@revisesociology you are presented with a format that's very similar to Hive Blocks...

This will probably look familiar, your basic account stats:

And the basic page layout is your transactions to the right, and account info to the left:

And if you click on one of the txs you get the details:

@penguinpablo's block explorer

This is a decent alternative to the above, which presents a bit more clearly to my mind, but at the expense of less information.

The homepage is great for seeing the latest Hive properties:

And you can search for your own latest transactions too....

Also worth an honourable mention is Hive is Beautiful which is just AMAZING if you like visualisations - it shows you in real time what kind of transactions are processed in a block and the current witness:

A screen capture doesn't really do it justice, click the link above for the dynamic live version. (NB it's not much use if you want data, but it is FUN, which is no surprise given that it's created by @thebeardflex and @hivetrending of @hive.pizza fame and fam.)

Hive-Engine explorer allows you to search for txs on Hive-Engine, but it's limited to one token at a time in terms of search functionality, or one account.

HiveDB is no longer updated, so ignore that.

NB Hive Blocks, developed by @roadscape is now back up and running, so happy days! Even more choice of Hive block explorers!
