H and L Pud and January 2021 Hive and Leo Review

I'm glad to see LEO POWER UP added to the HIVE POWER UP initiative this month.

I'll be powering up at some point today!

In honour of the 1st Feb 2021 I just Powered Up >500 Hive and >100 LEO - broadly equivalent in dollar value terms and saved only really for the sake of the day, I tend to power up daily usually!

I would have powered up more LEO but yesterday was the last day of 1-1 LBI token purchases, so I bought another 50.

Hive and Leo Rewards for February 2021

I use mainly the following sources to get these stats:

Headline Stats for November 2020

  • Hive Power - 64 100 (59 200) rank number 260 (285)
  • LEO Holdings - 39 500 (38 000) - across LEO, WLEO and LBI
  • Splinterlands cards - worth around $4000 (3700) using market prices, and around 16K DEC
  • Monthly Hive rewards = around $750.

Hive Holdings and Hive Rewards

@ReviseSociology received the following rewards:

  • 118 HBD in author rewards
  • 920 HP in author rewards
  • 400 curation HP
  • $287 worth of Hive related tokens

And @revise.leo received the following:

  • 6 HBD in author rewards
  • 49 HP in author rewards
  • 0.5 HP in curation rewards
  • $14 worth of Hive related tokens

= $301 (241) worth of HIVE tokens in December

I've been posting more than usual this January, I've been in the mood for it!

LEO holdings and LEO rewards

@revisesociology received the following in rewards

  • 365 LEO for author
  • 154 LEO for my WLEO POOL stake
  • $200 worth of LEO rewards (approx)
  • And some mining rewards, a tiny amount though!

@Revise.leo received the following rewards:

  • 526 (540) for author and curation, mostly curation.
  • $247 worth of LEO related tokens

So that is around 1050 (1150) LEO earned in total, not too shabby, and around $450

I'm happy enough with this - that's a decent enough return, although a slight decline from last month.

It will be worth keeping an eye on the WLEO pool earnings to see if it's worth my shifting some more of my stake over to that.

Splinterlands progress and cards


I'm getting a bit bored of the game but as an investment it's holding up quite nicely.

  • my cards are currently valued at $4000 at market prices.

  • I'm now stacking DEC again, just from playing and I'm up to around 16 000.

  • I discovered the Splinterlands season report card tool recently and this tells me I'm earning around 15K DEC per season or just <30K DEC per month - that's about $25 a month just from playing!

  • I'm also earning just > 1 Hive a day from card rentals - so that's another $4 a month. Not very much, but not bad for something requiring so little monitoring!

Other Tribes and tokens

I've bashed out a few posts on Splintertalk with my @revise.spt alt - and I'm still a fan of the spt token.

I don't really hang around the other tribes very much, but I do use the Palnet token on almost every post. Glad to hear that Palnet is coming back to life!

t if you rent for a long term which probably makes a daily rental more economic.

I'm eagerly awaiting the next phase of @exode, which is colonisation, hopefully in Feb.

Final Thoughts

My monthly earnings are starting to look fairly respectable - and that's all just a result of Powering Up and posting and curating consistently.

It's not rocket science, I don't know why more people don't do the same!
