I ordered a cheap $150 refurbished PC from a company called 'Trust in Tech' through Amazon over a month ago now.

The delivery time stated that it might take up to two weeks to arrive, but that was fine: I was ordering from Spain to be delivered to Portugal, and I was in no rush to receive it, and one has to give some leeway for Covid - what with my two local post offices only being open half days between them.

At the end of that two week period my order status changed to show a pending delivery date with about a week's window - it never arrived, then went back to just showing 'on its way but late'.

Then another week long window for delivery appeared, it didn't arrive again, and the order status reverted back to 'on its way but late'.

So I sent a message directly to Trust in Tech simply stating (asking nicely) that I'd been waiting for over a month and asking when my order would be delivered.

I sent that message 5 days ago, I heard nothing back, so this morning I simply logged into Amazon and clicked the 'Problem with order button' then the 'I want a refund button' and then went about a few other chores.

In less than two hours I'd got a message from Trust Tech saying they'd look into why my order was late.

Too late though, I'd also got a message from Amazon saying I'd be getting a full refund - for both the PC and the delivery charge of around 17 EU.

I'm still in no particular rush to get a new (old) PC - it really is just a matter of having a back up machine handy - but had Trust in Tech not ignored my original email they may have saved themselves 17 EU on lost delivery charges.

I've had plenty of other deliveries arrive with no problem - across two different post offices (I live half way between two) - maybe the particular courier they used didn't know about this, and had Trust in Tech actually bothered to reply to my polite response at the end of last week I could have told them the situation, but ignoring my asking nicely prompted me to call in Amazon on them - I don't like being ignored.

I did try asking nicely, but it got me nowhere this time!

Still, at least I'm getting a refund, and now it's time to source another PC!
