Bitcoin Is Everywhere

Over the last year or so, many companies have stepped up to increase accessibility to cryptocurrency purchases for their customers with the most popular being Bitcoin.

CashApp is no different. Though this company has been allowing for the purchase of Bitcoin for the last few years using their app, they have really upped their marketing efforts and are running a lot of contests with celebrities on Twitter.

The other day, there was a Christmas contest that involved James Harden, shooting guard of the Brooklyn Nets, sending Bitcoin to random responders.

The point of the campaign was to market their product as a Christmas gift that you could send to your friends using the CashApp app to do so. They additionally have stocks that you can send to friends and it seems that they are trying to make personal finance a social venture.

With that being said, I was lucky enough to get randomly selected to get some BTC from Harden:

I'd take a free $20 of BTC any day of the week! I guess sometimes people actually do win these contests that are posted on Twitter.

I'm excited to see how much momentum cryptocurrency is gaining as the biggest stars in the world are all on board. Who knows where we'll be in a few years time, but I'm excited to find out.
