Lazio Binance Sponsorship Continues Crypto Craze In Sports
I recently came across this article by Forbes and then confirmed the information with my own eyes just a few days ago that Lazio (a soccer club from Rome, Italy) are now sponsored by Binance.
For the next two years, the club will be displaying the Binance logo for the price of almost 35 million dollars for the massive exchange to pay.
In addition to being sponsored by Binance, Lazio's fan token (produced by socios.com and Chiliz) has been listed on the Binance exchange. Big things are happening for cryptocurrency in the sporting world.
Lazio is just the latest to make this move as we have seen dozens of teams and individuals from almost every sport I can think of start getting involved with crypto sponsorships or these fan tokens. The 76ers and many other teams from the NBA are sponsored by crypto.com, the UFC is sponsored by crypto.com, the MLB is sponsored by FTX and many more are developing or maintaining crypto ties.
I love to see this move as it links together two of my favorite worlds and allows me to invest in the same platforms that are sponsoring the teams that I love to watch.
Where will the next big partnership come from? Only time will tell, but I am sure it won't take very much time at all. Cryptocurrency visibility is at an all time high and climbing rapidly.
