Leo Finance: A New Hobby, Or A Lifesaving Distraction?

I have always struggled with self control. That being said, my mistakes usually only end up hurting me financially. I have struggled with compulsive gambling for a few years now and it has really not been an easy thing. As with anything, there were good days and there were bad days; obviously if their weren't good I would never have continued.

Over the last year I lost a majority of my investments and found myself in quite a few tough situations. I am thankful for the people around me who have helped me to make it through those situations, but I recognized about a month ago that it was time for a serious change.

I decided that I would do my best to reduce and eventually stop my gambling and spend my time doing something productive. I have always wanted to change the world, and the realization finally hit me that I won't be able to do that by watching hours of sports every day.

I remembered that there are a few things that motivate me deeply, and Leo Finance has actually helped me reach that realization. Seeing so many people being passionate about crypto and other technology, I was inspired to begin taking an introduction to JavaScript course and am working on my law school applications. Seeing people write with such passion made me remember my own passion: breaking barriers for those who have felt silenced, including myself. There have been so many things in my experience (as well as my peers') that have never sat right with me; it is time to make a difference in the world.

I heard about Leo Finance through Publish0x and immediately signed up. After seeing how engaged the community members were with one another, I came up with the idea that maybe I could interview people and spread the word of crypto while learning more about it myself; this way I can increase my technical knowledge while also highlighting deserving members of the community. It is my hope to one day build a blockchain-based budgetary platform to help level the playing field in our world; the Leo Finance community reminded me that.

I hope to continue to chat with members of our community and hopefully help them while bettering myself.
