Let's Discuss the Current Situation First

Currently, we're seeing a massive down turn in Splinterlands. What do I mean? Well, have you looked at the card prices lately? They've dropped. We're in a bear market as they say. You can even check out the card prices for the rentals at the end of this last season, and they were down as well. The DEC prices have dropped dramatically. I remember when I joined they were double the price they are today. Even the SPS governance token for Splinterlands is down, when at one point it skyrocketed to well over $1.00.

I'm starting to see a crabby Mr. Scrooge here, are you? Although he seems to have taken on the look of Dr. Blight more than Mr. Scrooge. HA! :)

But Here's the Secret Guys...

If you took a moment to read the headlines to this post, you know I'm not writing an article about LOSING money, I'm writing an article about MAKING money. So, what's the secret? Well, let me tell you, it's not going on and on that Splinterlands is doomed and hoarding away your money under the mattress. No, no Scrooge. That won't do. You see, just like most quality crypto games that have been around a bit, this has happened before to Splinterlands. Markets dip, the world has a crisis, and frankly people just need some cash on hand, so Splinterlands has a moment.... A VERY BRIEF MOMENT that for some people feels like eternity. My friend was telling me about the time when the prices in Splinterlands dipped and many people bailed. They were just sure Splinterlands wasn't going to make it, and then, just a couple months later if THAT, and the whole Splinterlands' WORLD exploded!! If you sit around the Mav campfire, you can hear the stories they tell of some GREAT WHALES that lost out, because they forgot the concept of making money.

The Time to Buy is NOW

Remember when you all were saying "oh, if only I was here when Splinterlands started, I would have invested so much in this game"?

Well, the Time to BUY is NOW. If you can financially squeeze out any money to invest in Spliterlands, then this is the beginning of your success story your local newspaper will write about someday. If you're being a Scrooge, then go have a bit of the egg nog, punch or ale and get yourself re-focused. You need to see that this time around, versus at the beginning when no one really knew what would happen to Splinterlands, is the most guaranteed success you'll ever have of making an INSANE amount of money, so don't squander this Christmas gift.

For example, I was perusing PeakD the other day, and I came across this comment to an article by @tarazkp.

This usual "if I had only been here in Splinterlands in the beginning," is missing a moment and that moment is now. It's as if Secret Santa has appeared and left you a note in your wallet, your locker, car or desk saying, "Hey, I'm going to give you a different kind of gift this year. Let's call it a Splinterlands' miracle!" and low and behold, you've got THE PERFECT TIME TO MAKE MONEY in Splinterlands, and I'm going to tell you why.

The Reasons Why We Can We Be So Sure We'll Make Money in Splinterlands

Nothing has changed. Splinterlands was the exact same two months ago when prices were climbing high! What does this tell us? Well folks, it tells us this is about the market and timing; it's not a Splinterlands' problem, so don't jump ship or you'll be very sad at the New Year's Eve party this year and no one will want to kiss you at midnight with a salty face of tears!!
Splinterlands is still pushing ahead with NEW cards! You're talking about being able to buy NFTs right now for $4 a pack (around $6 if you need to buy a voucher on the market. Yep! Voucher prices have dropped as well so don't wait; get your cards today, because if you listened closely, Aggroed mentioned he's got several million dollars of card pack orders coming in! Now if those big folks are buying, why aren't you, the little guy, jumping in as well?!). You see, this isn't really much different from when Splinterlands first started, but with all the crypto hype and the quality assurance of the game today than when it first started, you have MUCH more of a guarantee of the success of the game in the long run!
Guilds are coming! There are an incredible amount of guild members coming to this game just as soon as those cards are available. Recently @aggroed mentioned he's got guilds coming, so you're nearly guaranteed people are coming, and they will want to buy and rent those amazing cards you just bought! Yippppee!! I mean it's as if you're standing inside a closed shopping mall looking out the window at the thousands of excited shoppers just WAITING for the new year and the cards to drop! Somehow, you are lucky and you were allowed into the shop early. Here's what doesn't make sense though, ok? For for some reason, you're thinking about just standing outside and watching to see what the people do even though you've been told what they are going to do? HUH? What are you waiting for? If you wait with the rest of them, you will pay more for it. It's the simple rules of supply and demand. Build up your card collections now, so when those doors open, you are all smiles with your fancy cards, DEC and SPS! NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY!!

And the BEST REASON OF ALL for why NOW is the TIME TO BUY is.....

Lands! Lands I tell you! Why lands are the only thing worth living for, worth fighting for.... etc. etc. etc... Yes it's the lands! OF COURSE you KNEW I would say this, right? HA! Nearly every other successful crypto game skyrocketed with the implementation of lands. Roles have changed for the Splinterlands team and @yabapmatt has now taken the role of Chief Product Officer which means his SOLE FOCUS is going to be getting out those Splinterlands projects, and one of those projects at the top of his lists is LANDS! Don't miss your opportunity! It's the best gift in the world if you can manage it. Just stay within what you can, and you will get returns for it. If you tell me "it's just bad timing for me," then I suggest you find a way to get yourself in a situation where you're ready for this next time, if there ever is, and I really don't see another moment quite as good as this one right now happening in Splinterlands. So you could take that chance and wait, but please, if you're in Splinterlands now, you really CAN spend what those early players spent and with way less risk. You can be that next whale if you "play your cards right". HA! Now is the time and YOU WILL MAKE MONEY in Splinterlands.
