SPIRIT HOARDER is a Monster with powerful abilities that attacks the target with a Magic Attack. Spirit Hoarder is a Legendary Monster that can be effective in battles and very useful to the team with its abilities. Especially with its Triage Ability, it can help the team a lot by preventing the team's backline from collapsing. There is no doubt that a team's backline is very important, and the more monsters in the team's backline are destroyed, the more likely it is to lose the battle, so preventing a team's backline from being destroyed is very important in battles. Spirit Hoarder can prevent the team's backline from being destroyed by enemies or make it much more difficult to destroy. Also, when used with a good strategy, Spirit Hoarder can be more effective in battles and be more useful to the team.

In Splinterlands, there are 12 Monsters with the Triage Ability and a Summoner who can give Triage Ability to all friendly monsters. What makes Spirit Hoarder different from them is that it is in the Neutral Unit. This is really a huge advantage because since it is in the Neutral Unit, I have the chance to use the Spirit Hoarder in many battles and in a wide variety of strategies. It's also a huge advantage that it only costs 3 mana, but its low health and speed is also a huge disadvantage. If an enemy enters its target, it is a very easy monster to destroy, so it is very important to use it with a good strategy, otherwise our team will not be able to benefit from its abilities if it is destroyed. Also, in addition to its Triage Ability, Spirit Hoarder can be much more effective and be much more useful to the team with its **Dispel and Blind abilities in battles.

SPIRIT HOARDER Card Stats

Source

SPIRIT HOARDER has the Triage Ability at level 1, also has the Dispel Ability at level 2, and the Blind Ability at level 3.

  • **Triage Ability : Heals the friendly back-line Monster that has taken the most damage.
  • Dispel Ability : When this monster hits an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy.
  • Blind Ability** : All enemy Melee & Ranged attacks have an increased chance of missing their target.

These abilities are really powerful abilities that can be very effective in battles and very useful to the team. Spirit Hoarder is a Legendary Monster in the Neutral Unit that belongs to the Chaos Legion edition. Also, Spirit Hoarder costs 3 mana and has 1 Magic Attack, 1 speed, 3 health at level 1. Although the Spirit Hoarder card is leveled up, its speed and health do not change. Only at level 4 its Magic Attack is increased by +1, but it gains awesome abilities at levels 2 and 3.

Currently, my SPIRIT HOARDER NFT card is at level 1, I would like to upgrade it to level 3 especially because I believe it will be much more beneficial to my team when I upgrade to level 3. I plan to do this upgrade as soon as possible.

  • **Keep Your Distance rule means Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.
  • Holy Protection rule means all Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.
  • Explosive Weaponry rule** means all Monsters have the Blast ability.

Divine Shield Ability : The first time the Monster takes damage it is ignored. Blast Ability : Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.

MY STRATEGY

According to the battle ruleset, Melee Attack Monsters would not be usable in this battle, and after reviewing the opposing player's last 5 battles, I could predict that the opposing player would prefer Magic Attack Monsters in this battle. And so I decided to prefer Magic Attack Monsters. But according to the battle ruleset, all monsters in this battle would have Blast Ability, so I had to come up with a better strategy.

First of all, I would put Djinn Oshannus with Void and Phase Abilities in the first position because Djinn Oshannus can both defend powerfully against Magic Attacks and attack the target powerfully. And so that Djinn Oshannus is not easily destroyed, I decided to add a Monster with the Tank Heal Ability to my team. Also, I needed to think about my team's backline and I needed to prevent the monsters in the backline from being destroyed, so I added Spirit Hoarder with the Triage Ability without hesitation to my team. And I added Nerissa Tridawn, which can attack targets powerfully, to my team. And lastly, I could add another monster that costs 3 mana. I opted for Venari Marksrat with Martyr Ability. Destroying Venari Marksrat in this battle would have given my team a huge advantage, so I put it in second position. I determined the line-up of my team according to this strategy.

LINE UP

Summoner : ALRIC STORMBRINGER

I was going to prefer Magic Attack Monsters in this battle, and I preferred Alric Stormbringer as the Summoner so that they could attack targets more powerfully. Alric Stormbringer is a Summoner that gives +1 Magic Attack to all friendly Magic Attack Monsters.

The oldest ΛZMΛRÉan Summoner, Alric Stormbringer, founded the modern arts of Chaos Magic. He has many pupils from around the Splinterlands. Alric’s gift is not so much bringing the storm, but channeling it. He has lived for hundreds of years, and some stories claim he was alive before the Splintering. Source

Position 1 : DJINN OSHANNUS

Djinn Oshannus has 2 Magic Attack, 5 speed, 11 health, Void Ability and Phase Ability at level 2. Djinn Oshannus is a powerful Monsters that can both attack targets powerfully and also defend strongly against Magic Attack Monsters, so I chose him and put him in the first position. I knew that Djinn Oshannus would be very effective in this battle, so I was going to add a Monster with the Tank Heal Ability to my team, making it harder to destroy him. I would also put a Monster with the Martyr Ability in second position, and after it was destroyed, Djinn Oshannus' all stats would be increased by +1. This would make the Djinn Oshannus much more effective and much more brutal in battle.

  • **Void Ability : Reduced damage from Magic attacks.
  • Phase Ability** : Magic attacks can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks).

Dawn of the Djinn 3 of 4 - The Djinn are angry at the way they were tricked by the Planet, but also appreciative that they can now enjoy this limited freedom, each trapped by natural forces. The Djinn possess powerful ancient magic of their own, which is now charged into the force of one element for each of them. The ancient demons of war are an awkward bunch to be chosen as a planetary defensive force, but they are also impressively capable of the job. As long as they are bound by the Planet, they will do its bidding. Whatever their would-be choices and allegiances, they will fight against the Chaos Legion to protect the sixth mana gate. Source

Position 2 : VENARI MARKSRAT

Venari Marksrat has 1 Ranged Attack, 1 speed, 4 health, and Martyr Ability at level 3. The only reason I chose Venari Marksrat in this battle was because it had the Martyr Ability and I wanted it to be destroyed early in this battle so I put it in second position. After Venari Marksrat was destroyed, adjacent Monsters would get +1 to all stats.

  • Martyr Ability : When this Monster dies, adjacent Monsters get +1 to all stats.

Venari marksrats spend more time in the forests than they do underground. Most of it is taken with hunting and foraging, with marksrats being the main food gatherers for the venari colonies that inhabit the upperdark caverns of the Realm of Silence. They are incredibly agile and have honed their hunting skills to perfection.

Their crude bows are fashioned out of branches and saplings. Don't be fooled by their unrefined look, though. These skilled archers can still hit a fleeing rabbit at a hundred yards with precision. They hunt alone or in packs, and if you ever manage to spot one, you can guarantee they saw you first and have been watching you for some time. Source

Position 3 : NERISSA TRIDAWN

Nerissa Tridawn is a monster that can powerfully attack the target and has 3 Magic Attack, 2 speed and 9 health. The reason I chose Nerissa Tridawn this battle was because she has 3 Magic Attacks and the reason I put her in third position is because she has 9 health. Also, after Venari Marksrat was destroyed, her all stats would increase by +1 and she would move to second position. With 9 health, she could survive against Blast damage for a long time, and thanks to Spirit Hoarder, Nerissa Tridawn would be much more difficult to destroy.

Nerissa is a proud warrior of the water. Armed with her enchanted trident, she defends the seas, the rivers, and the lakes. She is well known across coastal villages, and they often call on her for help. She has slain great sea beasts that would otherwise kill everyone in their path. She has rescued sailors from hurricanes, and even warned villages of incoming tsunamis to save lives. Her bravery and brilliance in battle have led to her being called Nerissa the Hurricane.

Nerissa was born and raised by the ocean, and could swim before she could walk. She always felt the sea called to her. And within her it stirred a deep magic. An ancient mana of tides and waves. Nerissa answered the call, and travels between the continents of the Splinterlands.

When settlers and explorers made their way to Praetoria, Nerissa was there to help with every step of the journey. But the blight that gripped the land worried her deeply. Its corruption spread into the waters that she loved so dearly. She often caught herself crossing paths with Igor the Finback and his tribe of Trench Dwellers. Each time she had to pull back or risk all of them attacking her at once.

When Nerissa learned of the deeper plot of the Chaos Legion, she vowed to defend Praetoria and its inhabitants with her life. Source

Position 4 : SPIRIT HOARDER

Spirit Hoarder has the Triage Ability at level 1. The most important reason why I chose Spirit Hoarder in this battle was that it has Triage Ability, with Triage Ability it would make the destruction of the Monster in the second position much more difficult, this would give my team a great advantage in the battle. Also Spirit Hoarder has 1 Magic Attack, 1 Speed and 3 Health at level 1. Since Spirit Hoarder has only 3 health, I put it in fourth position.

  • Triage Ability : Heals the friendly back-line Monster that has taken the most damage.

When the Chaos Legion opened their portals to begin the invasion of Praetoria, the great vortexes tugged at the edges of time and space, drawing in matter from other realms. These portals were so powerful that other beings were dragged through against their will, snatched from their own worlds. And so it was that the Spirit Hoarder found itself walking the lands of Praetoria. No one truly knows where it originated from, but the consensus remains the same: They wish the Spirit Hoarder would return and no longer blight the Splinterlands with its wicked presence.

Described as almost dryad-like in its appearance by the few that have lived to tell the tale, the Spirit Hoarder is a faceless creature aside from two large, yellow eyes. Its body is a deep green with tributaries of aqua blue running through its skin, converging into jagged dorsal vertebrae along its back, and the uneven ruts of its head almost look like broken wood jutting away from the otherwise smooth and serene outline of its body. The alien appearance of this creature makes it difficult to tell where it resided on its home world, and it is likely at some point in evolution its habitat was in water, but now it is clear that it makes its home on solid ground and is completely terrestrial.

Granted, it is a docile looking creature, but the gnarled staff it carries, with branches twisted into a series of synchronised patterns, holds a sinister, spinning orb of power. It is a mystic force, the likes of which has never been seen before. This is the Vault of Spirit Hoarders and the one true source of its power. If one were to look at the orb closely enough, they would see the tormented spirits drifting inside, desperate to be free of the anguish prolonged by their eternal prison. What makes the Spirit Hoarder so utterly terrifying, though, is the indifference in which it stalks the land. The Spirit Hoarder cares not of the source of souls it takes, with both Praetorians and Chaos Legion having fallen victim to its obscene harvesting. Source

Position 5 : MERDAALI GUARDIAN

Merdaali Guardian has the Tank Heal Ability at level 1. Merdaali Guardian has no attack power but the most important reason I added her to my team in this battle was because she has the Tank Heal Ability. Djinn Oshannus was not supposed to be destroyed in this battle, it could ruin my whole strategy, so I knew that a Monster with the Tank Heal Ability could be quite effective in such a battle, so without hesitation, I added Merdaali Guardian to my team and put her in the last position. I would also like to point out that I put her in the last position because she only has 3 health.

  • Tank Heal Ability : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.

The Merdaali Guardians are a noble group committed to protecting all sea life and do not pay much attention to the affairs of people and the land. They are graceful to behold, often adorning themselves with shining jewelry. They prefer pacifism to conflict and are adept at healing and helping others through their connection to magic. However, when the Chaos Legion came to the Splinterlands, they swore to use their magic to protect what they hold most dear. Source

To be honest, the opposing player's strategy in this battle was also pretty good. But I'm glad the opposing team doesn't have a Monster with the Triage Ability. This was a disadvantage for the opposing team, but it was a big advantage for my team. But the opposing team had Prismatic Energy with the Magic Reflect Ability in the second position and it was a really smart choice. I would love to have a card like Prismatic Energy in this battle because with Prismatic Energy I would have won this battle much easier. It was also a good choice to have Lord Arianthus, who has Magic Reflect and Void Ability, in the first position on the opposing team. Honestly, I really liked the opposing player's strategy, but I would add a Monster with the Amplify Ability to such a team, it would definitely ruin my strategy.

  • **Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker.
  • Void Ability : Reduced damage from Magic attacks.
  • Amplify Ability** : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.

At the beginning of the battle, both teams seemed to have an equal chance of winning, but having Spirit Hoarder in my team gave my team a huge advantage in this battle. It also worked really well in putting Venari Marksrat in second position, which made it much easier to destroy monsters on the opposing team. While monsters on the opposing team were destroyed one by one, only Venari Marksrat was destroyed in my team, which was already part of my strategy. The fact that the battle took quite a long time was that DJINN OSHANNUS could be playing strong defense, but that wasn't enough for the opposing team because my team had DJINN OSHANNUS with the same power. The most important reasons why the team won this battle was the benefit and advantage of forming a team according to the ruleset of the battle. Honestly, having Spirit Hoarder on my team in this battle made it very easy for me to win this battle.

Battle Results

The battle lasted 6 rounds, only one monster was destroyed on the team, this was already part of my strategy, but all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed. By the way, it was quite remarkable that at the end of the battle, Djinn Oshannus had 10 health and Nerissa Tridawn had 8 health. This clearly showed how effective monsters with Triage and Tank Heal Ability were in battles and how much they benefited the team. It also shows that my strategy works quite well in this battle.

My opinion

Spirit Hoarder is a monster with powerful abilities that can be very effective in battles and very useful to the team. I can clearly say that it is much more effective when used with a good strategy. Its low health and being very slow is a huge disadvantage, but considering its abilities, I can ignore it. But Spirit Hoarder must not be destroyed in order to benefit from its abilities, so I make sure to put it in the right position with a good strategy and keep it away from enemy attack because as long as it is alive it can be very useful to my team. It's also a very easy monster to destroy as it only has 3 health and 1 speed, so it's very important to keep it away from enemy attacks. I think the Spirit Hoarder's most efficient positions are mid positions, and I'd be careful to give it armor with a Summoner or a Monster if I can, but I didn't do that in this battle as it wasn't needed in the above battle. Also, my Spirit Hoarder Card is currently level 1 and I plan to upgrade to level 3 soon and I think it will be more beneficial for my team when I upgrade to level 3.

What are your thoughts on the battle and SPIRIT HOARDER? I would be glad if you write your thoughts in the comments.
