It is still 28 days before the year ends. However, after reading a few articles in the past few days that reviewed what happened in 2022, I think it is now time for me to greet all Hivers with a blessed New Year!

Moreover, the last month of the year is a good time also for me to look back and review the goals I made this 2022.

Originally, I intend to just simply make a new goal for 2023. On second thought while checking my posts since the day I joined Hive, I decided to add and highlight a few milestones in my Hive journey.

Significant Milestones in my Hive Journey this 2022

November 2021

The first thing that comes to mind is the post I made on 16 November of last year. It was funny to look back because, at that time, I made some ridiculous interpretations that could be considered misinformed based on the data that I have now. That’s part of human limitations we cannot escape and have to humbly accept. I mentioned tokens then that even after a year, I remain clueless about them such as AMAS, KSM, IOTX, AVA, and ORN. Among the three tokens recommended by empoderat, only LEO entered my list. Even the corresponding price forecast for 2022 appears wishful thinking given the kind of situation we are in now in crypto. Imagine a price forecast of $10.00 for LEO and $3.00 for HIVE by the end of 2022. If you will repeat this price prediction now, Hivers and lions will just shake their head.

As you can see, my focus is just on Splinterlands and Hive. My HIVE power at that time was just 21 and 100 HP, which was my original goal. It never entered my mind that I could even surpass the 1,000 mark.

As for SPS, it’s good to know that I already surpassed my goal for I am now holding 2,321 SPS. And I also exceeded that Collection Power (CP) goal for currently I have 110,330 CP.

Notice also that at that time I was still looking for a new coin to add to my list and I set aside a $200.00 budget for that coin. I never thought that it would be LEO.

January 2022

And then after two months, I revised my goal. This time, I included both HBD and LEO.

As you can see, there is a huge price discrepancy between the two charts in the value of the tokens in terms of the USD. I adjusted the USD value for the previous prices are no longer applicable. I included HBD after realizing that it was a stablecoin different from HIVE. As for SPS, its USD value dropped from $455.78 to $124.58 and that’s only for 1,020 SPS. At the moment, my 2,321 SPS is now worth just $85.3. If you will do the math, you can see how big the price decline of the token was from January this year until now.

As for the inclusion of LEO, it was the taskmaster who introduced the token to me through his writings. My conviction then remains intact that the prospect of the token is still very promising. I just find it funny that at that time the $10.00 forecast for LEO was considered too small. I even heard from an AMA a “very doable” price prediction of $44.00.

Also in the same month, I reached Silver III after playing Splinterlands for five months.

March 2022

March marked a significant milestone in my Hive journey. It was then that I first participated in the HIVE PUD initiative. Since then, I was able to complete the succeeding PUDs until the end of this year.

As February ended, I also consider my discovery of both the SoMee and the CTP communities very significant in my growth. @mikedcrypto is the one who introduced SoMee to me and I came to know of the CTP community only after the CryptoManiacs Podcast hosted by both @jongolson and @taskmaster4450. It is through the CTP community that I came to know ListNerds, the first blockchain-based mailer.

The first week of March, I stumbled upon another interesting front end. This time, it was CENT. Since the day I heard about the idea of micro-investing and the concept of Hive as a compounding machine, my crypto goals changed and I started adding other second-layer tokens to my list, and that would include CENT.

These are the reasons I selected CENT:

The inclusion of the tag #introduceyourself into the token’s prize pool
No restriction against self-vote
Accommodation of mini-posts
The long-term plan to link the token to other blockchains
Not simply a tribal token
To make CENT stable, and
The plan to grow the utility of the token by adding more liquidity pools

Of course, it is one thing to announce the above intentions and it is quite another thing to implement them. With the current crypto sentiment, it is understandable that the current market price of the token does not reflect the stability goal. However, since I still believe in the prospect of this token, I decided to increase my stake from 20,000 to 30,000.

LISTNERDS is one of those tokens I included in my micro-investment plan. The token started with a price of 2 HIVE per piece. After nine months, the price crashed by 99.91% to 0.0018. Accumulating the token this time is far easier than during the early months of this project. Still fresh in my mind that my original goal changed several times from 100 to 1,000; from 1,000 to 10,000; and now from 10,000 to 30,000 staked LISTNERDS.

July 2022

The following three months seem peaceful. In July, two important landmarks happened to me. One is the transformation of my Hive status from a Plankton to a Minnow on July 10. Another is the Orca delegation I received on 17 July as a result of my participation in LPUD. I didn’t expect that such a delegation will happen to me again the next month.

August 2022

02 August was the last time I wrote about my LISTNERDS Report. I wrote an update expressing my amazement about the speed of growth in ListNerds. I said that I never thought I will reach the 10,000 goal in just a week. After that report marks the decline of LISTNERDS’ market price. I think it was approximately on the same date that the development team adjusted the rewards computation.

At that time, the market price of LISTNERDS dropped 47.27% in 24 days from $0.165 to $0.087. A 4,0777.151 staked LISTNERDS would have a USD value of $677.72. And even though my holdings more than doubled from 4,077.151 to 10, 942.652, its USD value then was just $609.28. No one would expect that after four months, the price would even drop from $0.087 to $0.001. A 25,146.602 staked LISTNERDS is now worth just $16.74.

September 2022

The month of September is an important landmark in my CENT growth. It was on 04 September that I achieved the 20,000 CENT power.

It was also in the same month that I made it part of my goal to climb the 20,000 LEO power.

One significant event before the month ended was related to my HIVE Power goal. Though short of 14 HP, it just took me two to three days I think to reach 1,000 HP.

October 2022

On 15 October, I reached 1,000 LEO Power with the help of the Orca delegation of course. It made my LEO accumulation faster and easier.

Five days after, I received this notification about the recent updates in somee.social. Exploring the platform, I was impressed with the many new features I saw. And besides, I also observed increased activity and engagement. Since micro-posting is allowed on the platform, I usually publish one short post per day on somee.social.

November 2022

The most notable accomplishment I had this month of November was the transformation of my Splinterlands account to Gold III. I think joining the Dark Assassins Guild helped me a lot to achieve this goal earlier than I intended.

New communities and projects that I just recently discovered include Silver Gold Stackers, WOO, GLX, reverio, and LGN.

My Crypto Goals for 2023

After sharing the important landmarks in my Hive journey this year, let me conclude this post by sharing with you my goals for next year:

Big numbers. I never expect that I would write down the above ambitious figures. Nevertheless, looking back at 2022, since I didn’t have any clue what Hive is, I started with conservative goals.

Now that I know a little about the tokenomics of layer two tokens, given that HP is already a priority, I intend to focus on SPS, LEO, and CTP.

SME, I will just let it grow naturally like SPT and NEOXAG.

LISTNERDS and CENT, I think will be under observation. I think it will just take the first quarter of next year to accomplish that goal. Once my goals are achieved in these tokens, I intend to use the staking rewards I received from them to boost other tokens.

WORKERBEE, CTPSB, BRO, and LGN are different kinds of tokens. They are more solid and more expensive. I intend to increase them little by little.
